DID YOU KNOW...
Pigs can’t look upwards.
Their necks physically cannot bend to
look up. This is because the body of the pig is designed mainly to
prioritize finding food.
I would guess they are also big enough, once beyond the piglet stage, to not need to worry much about flying predators, so looking out and down would be all they'd need.
Maybe their neck make them unable to look up but last year I was at a farm and some pigs were on their back, in the mud, looking up. So if they roll on their back they can look up I guess. I also read that wild boars can look up because their neck doesn’t have as much fat, but I have not seen one up close !
