Briefly went over to Wikipedia and glance of her life. Sound like an interesting person. Her Republican party of her day, sure changed.

DeleteMost women could not vote in her day, but they could in Montana. The Western states were more progressive, obviously (they were also more liberal in allowing reasons for divorce).

DeleteIt just boggles my mind that at one time men didn't think women were able to make good enough decisions to give them the right to vote.
