DO NOT LOOK IF YOU ARE QUEASY

Here is my removed hip ball.  See the bone spurs.  No wonder I hurt so badly before the surgery.

Here is the x-ray of my new smooth hip in place.

Can you believe that after two weeks, I am up and going.  My only restrictions are not to lift more than 5 pounds for another few weeks and to be sure and walk at least every hour...and yes, not to fall down.

  3. Oh COOL! (Nurses love cool pics and xrays.) Glad your recovery is going well. Don't trip over any pets either. (One nurse friend's very elderly mom twisted while standing and broke her thigh bone like a green willow branch. Obvious osteoporosis but the frayed, twisted bone in the xray was cool to look at. She recovered ok.) Linda in Kansas

  4. How nice to have a speedy recovery - and to be able to look forward to walking without the pain you had been enduring.

  9. Interesting. it looks quite small when seen being held by two fingertips, I've never thought about the size of a hip ball before. The spurs look painful, makes me glad mine aren't giving any trouble. I'm very glad your recovery has been so well and so speedy.
