Being kind to all you meet. Helping where you can. Being honest. Loving all animals. Most important is loving ourselves. If we don't love ourselves, we don't love anyone else.
Being kind, truthful (but knowing when to stay silent), ethical. Being there for people-- but knowing when to stand back a bit. Not asking the questions that might cause someone you love to probably lie or obfuscate. Not forcing your beliefs on others.
To wake, take a deep breath and be able to find some joy regardless of circumstances.

ReplyDeleteThe meaning of a "good life" can be so different for everyone. For me it would mean being respectful and kind and hoping others would do the same.
ReplyDeleteI think a good life is not hurting others intentionally and perhaps receiving that same gift yourself.
