Thank you Elephant's Child for the way you keep this weekly practice going. These were definitely interesting prompts to close out 2020 and the photo provided is lovely. Next month we will look forward to the prompts provided by Charlotte (Mother Owl).

LUNCH BREAK by Granny Annie
Exhausted, the COVID nurse sat on the hillside watching the sun caresses the universe with prisms of light. Joyfully this created a diverse kind of architecture to turn her thoughts in a reverse direction. She could now rehearse her return to the hospital ward with less terse responses toward the demands of the ill patients. This beautiful scene was a reminder that the whole world was also praying for her.
Yes, we are all praying for her indeed, and for all of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. I loved your idea of burning the regrets from the previous year.
DeleteThis is truly lovely. Thank you. And I hope that all of our heroes can find time to watch and enjoy the sunrise...
ReplyDeleteYours was lovely also and very much on the same path as mine.
ReplyDeleteA lovely use of the prompts. I sure wish all the Covid nurses had the chance to sit to watch the sun caress the universe and rest after a long period of emotionally and physically draining work day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your nice comment Julia. I do try to imagine how our emergency workers make it through each day.
DeleteHope all our frontline heros get a few minutes of pure peace to mellow out. Can't believe the stress they must be under.
ReplyDeleteYes I certainly wonder the same
DeleteWhat a clever piece of writing using all the required words and bringing such emotion as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Vagabonde. I felt the emotion.
DeleteGreat prompts like never before and beautifully stated here. Nice dogs above and all the best in the new year.
ReplyDeleteThank you Steve. My pups appreciate the compliment also. The best to you for 2021.
DeleteIndeed, we are. It's not easy to be a medical worker at any time, now it must be impossible.
ReplyDeleteYes, my heart hurts for them.
DeleteNicely done :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. Will see your on Friday.
DeleteHappy new year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours.
DeleteHi Grannie Annie - I bet so many health care workers feel like your nurse - there just doesn't seem to be any reprieve for them ... let's hope life eases for them soon. Take care - Hilary
ReplyDeleteWe are all hoping that 2021 will bring relief to these strained emergency workers. Happy New Year Hilary.
DeleteThis is definitely your very best yet! Moved me to tears. Thanks Granny Annie.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellymae. But as we both have been told, it only takes a warm handshake to make us cry. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteWell done. Excellent use of the words and equally excellent sentiments. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you David. Yours was well done too as always.
DeleteWonderful turn of the words and so appropriate at this time.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Loved your post this morning.
DeleteFun. I really must get into trying this again.
