Give me practical and disposable. No room to keep anything else.
ReplyDeletePermanent and practical. We are disposing of far too much junk, and often in the most careless manner.
ReplyDeleteMy parents wanted things like flashlight batteries, coupons to Wendy's for a Jr. Frosty and Diet Coke case. Etc. I'm much the same way.
DeleteIncreasingly I am drawn to experiences rather than things. My recent encounter with the Barking Owls was a perfect example.

ReplyDeleteOne of my grandsons is coming to see me next week and I hope he'll bring me flour and sugar. I'm thinking about baking. That would be a great Christmas gift from him.
DeleteI like practical with an upgrade I might not get for myself. Give me a bar of French milled soap and I will be grateful forever. Definitely nothing that I have to store somewhere.

DeletePractical and permanent. I dislike gifts where I say thank you one week and toss it the next week.

DeleteI love handmade gifts. I usually get them from my grands.
