Yesterday I had a great Facebook face-time with my granddaughter Beth. I caught this screenshot through her protests.
Then I had a genuine in person visit from my grandson Michael. He is here for the weekend. Joyful interludes with visits from the Grands for this lonely Granny Annie. Luke Skywalker managed to sneak inside while the dogs were outside. He was happy to see Michael and visa-versa.
Time with the grandchildren is precious. These days it feels like we do it by sneak attack -- who was that masked grandma?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the Lone Granny...
DeleteDefinitely grand. And joyful. I am very happy for you.
ReplyDeleteHopefully a couple more will get to come next weekend. I am stocking up on Schwan's just in case.
DeleteIsn't technology wonderful? We not only got to see her but you in the corner. So glad these capabilities keep us together.
ReplyDeleteIf it were not for this technology, I don't think I could be surviving this pandemic nearly as well. Love face-time visits on my phone and Zoom gatherings on my laptop.
DeleteWhat a lovely visit. Precious time at any time of the year but especially so at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMichael is probably the safest visitor I could have. He practices COVID safety protocols to the T. It is wonderful to have him here.
DeleteAlways such a joy to see grandchildren. We have a "foster" grandboy, and i do not get to see him nearly enough.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will get to see your grandboy soon and give him a big hug.
DeleteHow lovely. I probably won't see my grands before Christmas, they're all working right up to the day and I already sent Christmas cards. There will be a week between Christmas and New Year when I might get a visit.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful that we can celebrate Christmas on any day we choose!
DeleteNothing like the Grans to bring cheer.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful when they come or call?!
