WORLDWIDE RECOVERED

It is difficult to find statistics on the number of recovered COVID cases.  Once I did find that 6M had recovered in the US when the total number of cases was 9.4M and deaths were 236,000.  I cannot find those updated statistics anymore but I did find worldwide numbers.

  1. I don't think we will ever have reliable statistics about Covid. Not about the numbers who have contracted it, the numbers who have died or the numbers who have recovered. Sadly because it is mutating fast I believe that recovering once does not make a person immune.

    1. I have been avoiding the news and for some reason I watched last night. Now I am not just worried, I am terrified!

  2. Those numbers are completely staggering. Imagine if we had been told this was coming in 2018. Seriously doubt I'd have believed such outlandish numbers.

    1. I wish people would all comply with the prevention rules voluntarily.

  3. It's good to hear of recoveries when the news focuses mainly on the ill and the dead.

    1. I believe that also. We need to soften the scare with some hope and acknowledge the survival rates.

    1. The death total is frightening but not growing at the rate of speed as the infected and recovered.

  5. Those numbers are staggering. So far, I don't know anyone who got it and recovered. We have a cousin who died of it and one friend who was asymptomatic. Hmmm... I guess that could be considered recovered.

    1. Several members of our local churches have contracted COVID but have recovered. The persons dying in this area are nursing home residents. In one home with 19 patients, there were 17 infected and only one of those recovered.

  6. It's a terrible virus. SO many people just ignore the rules because they think it won't affect them because they're young or they're just sick of the restrictions. The only thing I mind about is not seeing family, I'm not bothered about going to a restaurant or shops.
It's time our government got a bit stronger about punishing the offenders, they're far too soft with them. Our parents went through years of hardship during the war but sadly younger people today are not so strong and so many are more selfish.

    1. It is such a horrible time in our lives. I wonder how it will be remembered in the future.
