WHAT'S WRONG

It was my hope to return to my blog and my blog friends but something has happened to me.  Not only has blogging been abandoned, there is rarely interest in Facebook.  My art materials have also been discarded and no poetry has been forthcoming.  To top it all off I have been losing things.

My TV remote disappeared and I searched for hours. Would you believe it was found accidentally  when I reached into a bag of chips.  Instead of pulling out a chip, I grabbed the remote. It was almost like finding a prize in Cracker-Jacks.

How did the TV remote end up in the chip sack?  Don't tell my children.  They already think I am ready for a nursing home.

Hopefully the right side of my brain will start working again soon.

  1. You are just taking a little break...your brain knows you need it lol.

  2. It may be nothing, it may be something. Get a notebook and keep a list of things happening that will give you perspective.

  4. Don't eat the remote! Sometimes a break from our usual activities energizes us. We had to buy a couple of those tile gizmos when Bob lost our one set of van keys, and we couldn't find them for a week. Finally, he looked in a pants pocket he had checked previously and there they were. Supposedly, the tile will now locate them for us if they are misplaced.

  5. Hey, I've had that stuff happen to me as well. I hear you and I can relate. Here's to a bit of a break and when you're ready, we'll see you again. Hugs and bugs, Me.

  7. I've lost interest in many things I once enjoyed, but I've never yet lost the remote control.

  8. I think we all need a break at times..oft times. I'm in need of one now...and have been a bit slow off the mark...purposely. So don't beat yourself up about it, Annie. You're not alone.

I'm disinterested in most things at present...other than the tennis. I wish someone would produce another series as brilliant as "Justified"...and then, I might regain my interest in things! :)

  9. I go through times like that. Keeping the brain working is important. Now where did I put that......

  10. I think a lot of people are feeling that way and taking a break. My blog reader was almost empty for the holidays but seems to be picking up now. I was beginning to think some folks had made "stop blogging" their New Years Resolution. Hope this gets you started again.

  11. I had to take a break too, but am back for a while. I do need to take a hiatus now then though. I gave up on Facebook with all the controversy.

  12. I have never been into FB, it bores me and I too go through patches of disinterest in blogging. We all need a break and a change. Doing something new is good for the brain.

  13. Have a nice break & I hope you feel like blogging again soon. It's nice to see what you are doing. I love to see your dog photos & also the chickens. What's ordinary & everyday to you is different & interesting to other people.
My husband insists our house is haunted, stuff disappears all the time. It often reappears in places we have looked! We still haven't found the replacement ceramic disc I bought for the taps nor his retainer for his teeth! You're not alone!

  14. You probably reached in for a chip while you had it in your hand. I bet that's what happened. I think that blogging is probably good for our brains; I know I've lapsed, but when I do put something out there I feel good about it. So, take a break if you need it, but come back, ok?

I had a mini stroke that didn't leave any lasting problems but I was put on a lot of medicine because of this and it has had a huge effect on me. I used to not be able to sit still and now I can't get up. I don't watch TV, I don't do projects around the house. I only read and just barely do house work. I feel fine, I don't feel depressed, have done a lot of traveling and enjoyed it. I guess I just got lazy.
