Those nighs as a kid when I was sick and there was a calm and comforting presence in my room sitting quietly or humming a gentle tune....my Mom.

ReplyDeleteI have a feeling this indicates I am adventurous at heart. I always felt safe laying on the screened in front porch of a home in Waukesha before a thunderstorm....
ReplyDeleteAs a child I never felt safe, not when my mother was around, and I knew no one could stand up to her, because everyone was scared of her. To be honest I don't think feeling safe has ever been something I've experienced.

This might sound strange, but I was pretty little and far up on a mango tree. I shudder to think now how far up I'd been, but I felt perfectly happy and safe.
