Happy New Year

AT LAST

BOLT is my fiber optics company.  Finally they have installed it in my home after a 3 year wait.  No more living my life around rationing my broadband usage with satellite provider.  Previously satellite was the only option for rural users.  Now my Rural Electric Company has made BOLT available to us and I am a happy camper.  I can use my computer all day every day, plus I can now get Netflix on my television as well as Amazon, YouTube, etc.

Today I leave my house for a weekend siblings gathering and they may have to come here and drag me out because I don't want to leave my computer and my TV.  (They actually threatened to do just that if I don't show up.  LOL)

  1. You are so lucky that your wonderful service is finally there! That's a long wait! I feel you about wanting to stay home this weekend and enjoy it. I would probably have tied myself to the house ... :-)

    1. If you have unlimited WiFi then you cannot begin to imagine what it is like to be without it. Usually I have to go to the restaurant or to my family's homes to download movies. This is going to be so great.

    1. We had DISH in Kansas and right after we moved they got fiber optics. Satellite was our only alternative again in Rural Oklahoma so we waited again. Now I finally, after 15 years, have unlimited WiFi, etc. Your day will come Patti.

  9. Netflix marathons are the best for self-medicating habits!

My husband is the oldest of 10. He has 5 sisters and 4 sister-in-laws. We girls are going to have a Sisters' Night in February which always includes foot rubs, hand massages and wine!

  11. Awesome! Slow internet is just not necessary in the 21st century. I still remember dial u and that squealing and the phone line being busy for hours!

  12. I would LOVE to have fibre optics brought right to my house. Of course I would probably never leave my chair again, so maybe it's good I don't have it. Yet.

  15. I know nothing about BOLT but now I must research it. We are going to get rid of cable and phone this spring, but we can't do without internet and for that we must rely on Comcast. (They are not very reliable...) Have a good time with your family.

    1. I am hoping that BOLT will be reliable. I am hearing that they don't have many, if any, problems. Back from family gathering and it was a lot of fun.
