TIME REVISITED
Here is my story for the WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY post. Since this is posting so late, I will add funnies tomorrow. Go to Fools Rush In by Granny Annie to see the prompts for the final week in September that I have used here.
TIME REVISITED by Granny Annie
The beginning of the Vietnam War seemed arbitrary. Men and women selected for battles that made no sense to them. Suddenly, one day, the diminution took place and the United States abandoned the war.
Every President of the US had done what seemed plausible to each of them wanting to temporize their own immense greatness. Meanwhile, the military of both sides seemed doomed to Pandemonium.
The Press could only garble with false élan while many people in America were perfunctory and others could only bifurcate.
The images seemed vermicular as we watched the reenactments on television. We were definitely not left with anything that was toothsome.
Be sure and say "Thank you for your service" to a veteran today.

PBS THE VIETNAM WAR
Question Of The Week 9-25-17
What was the last thing you recorded off TV?

I have been recording all of THE VIETNAM WAR series on PBS. It is painful to watch but very educating. Shame on all of those who spit on our returning military from that horrific war. It was not a fight of their choosing. God save all of our military volunteers now.
I've never recorded anything...we are SO behind the times lol.
I only watch shows from the DVR. Too many commercials.
Dance with the Stars - do you watch that?
The Vietnam War, but haven't watched any episodes yet. If it's a Ken Burns program - I have to watch.
I have never recorded anything either. I don't know how!
I record EVERYTHING from shows, news and sports. Can't remember the last thing I saw live. I am too old to waste 20 minutes of very hour listening to commercials.
Although I never watched TV, I really wanted to watch the 3 part series called Little Boy Blue, I've only seen part one so far and it was excellent.
I have heard lots of good things about Vietnam. And our Vietnam vets were also treated shamefully.

I'm not recording anything. The DVR is on my husband's tvs. I was watching Vietnam, but had overlap overload.
I can record four programmes and watch a fifth simultaneously; not that there is much worth watching on free-to-air TV at present. I'm mostly streaming shows on Netflix and Stan..totally addicted.
I recorded last night's 6 pm news bulletin...purely for the weather forecast. I'm sick to death of what's going on in the "real" world...so I prefer to "escape"....

It's been so long since I have recorded anything at all, maybe a Nascar race a long time ago when we weren't going to be around to catch it live.
We record every Manchester United game so I can watch them! We also record Seth MacFarlane's new show, The Orville. (Rob)

CHEF SCHOOL by Granny Annie
The class was posed to be totally edacious. There was nothing I would enjoy more. We would cook our own food and then serve it to the judges. The table places were set with fancy dishes and drinks would be poured into each crucible. To most it would appear a bit gauche.
Some of the chefs began to argue about the menus of others. It was totally unnecessary but still it was not long before a melee ensued. The riot made the kitchen a total mess before we could realize what we were doing. Many a substance would inhere and probably fester.
The judges could not see bona fides in these actions but they did enjoy the schadenfreude. It was almost certain many of us would be doomed to chthonic. Our instructor, a famous chef, was furious and felt his regimen in ruin. He apologized to the judges and sent all of us home as if we were manumit. We were not sure if we would ever return to his class knowing he would be forever splenetic.

WALTZ ACROSS TEXAS
Question Of The Week 9-18-17
What was the last song you danced to?
Ron was working on an old house and when I went to see what was going on, Waltz Across Texas was playing on the radio. He took me in his arms and we danced across the dust and debris. It was a joyful moment for both of us
I honestly can't say what it was. It has been a long time.
Danced with somebody? Or danced around the kitchen alone while just about anything played on the radio?
I'm afraid I don't dance but I bounce a little to 'the oldies'..oh wait...I'M the oldie and EVERYTHING bounces. Shoot.
Mus have been a Millennial song at a wedding I am guessing.
Pretty Woman every Fri. night with my hubby. We are known for it.
The last time Cindy and I danced was to Bob Seger's Old Time Rock And Roll at a Fourth of July celebration in Easley SC ;)
It was at a wedding reception--I didn't know the name of the song so it was not an oldie.
Ah it's been years and it was a wedding ceremony where girls were singing song while beating drum .
