Here is my "true" story on Thursday for Words For Wednesday
SISTERS by Granny Annie
A continual mysterious audition caused Annie to attempt to defy her anticipated misfortune. It was never a fantasy...simply reality. This time she knew her efforts would require a commitment both definitive and daunting. How would she ever discourage or defeat this virulent sister who made her feel so neurotic about this game? Still, it ended, once again, as Annie's sister, Elenore managed to be masterful in obtaining the desired Teddy Bear out of the restaurant claw machine.
Perfection!! Love that it is a true story. Had some real meaning as the grands did some claw practice on our trip.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteWas not expecting that ending.
ReplyDeleteYou always do so well with the words, Annie. Another great use of them...another to add to list of wonderful little stories.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a lot of fun...thank you and thanks to everyone who has participated with my madness this month! :)
I remember those claw machines. Great story...all the better because it's true.
ReplyDelete:-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at this!
ReplyDeleteLove it. I have watched 'The Claw' defeat many a person.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, that claw is maddening. Kudos to your sister.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly amusing for a short piece! n my sister will be around in May to tire me out. Of course she's retired, I'm not.
ReplyDeleteGreat short! You are a talented lady, even if you have little success with the claw.
ReplyDeleteUnexpected ending there, well done. I have never yet managed to get anything out of those claw machines. I gave up long ago. My brother once tilted a machine so the toy he wanted fell closer to the middle, but he still couldn't get it.
