My good girl Slim is in veterinary hospital.
She has a blockage of some
kind in her intestine. They are hoping the medicine they give her will
cause her to pass the blockage. If it doesn't she'll probably have to
have surgery. The good news is otherwise she's in excellent health. I
should know around 10:30 or 11 this morning what the verdict will be
She is going to be very mad at me for leaving her:-(
UPDATE
Home sweet home. Slim is back where she belongs. She passed the
obstruction and will not need surgery. She came home with medications
for a few days and hopefully all will be well. She was stopped up with
fur, bones and trash. Oh dear, oh dear. She is ten years old and
hasn't done this before. It must have been some irresistible trash.
Hopefully she has learned a valuable lesson because she was one
miserable pup.

Hope she doesn't have to have surgery...
ReplyDeleteAwww... that happened to one of our dogs once... hope you got good news.
ReplyDeleteI had that happen once to one of my dogs and it worked out...literally. Let us know
ReplyDeleteOur 4 legged ones can really add worry lines. Hoping the news is all good. Only good thoughts going your way. Let us know.
ReplyDeleteI am crossing everything for Slim and for you. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI read this post earlier today and was stopping by to see how she is doing. Glad she is home and doing well.
ReplyDeleteLike Birdie, I am very glad to read the update.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness she's better without the surgery. That was nerve wracking.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad she's okay again and without surgery. It's really awful when our pets aren't well and they can't tell us where it hurts either.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Slim didn't need surgery. Hopefully she will be fine soon. Sending some belly-rubs for her. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear she didn't need surgery. Unfortunately, I don't think she'll associate her misery with the trash!
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to watch an animal suffer. I am glad this was treated fairly easily.
ReplyDeleteGood girl Slim! Excellent pooping! :-) I'm happy to hear that she's home and feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to read that Slim is fine. We do love our pets...they're so precious to us.
ReplyDeleteSo glad Slim is OK!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Slim is better. It's the food driven ones that can't go by the trash without taking a sniff. We had a Dobie that way.
