Did you ever dance in the rain?
I wasn't dancing but I ran through the rain
to get my baby chicks to follow me to the safety
of their pen in a downpour. It was a sight to behold.....
I was told:)

Not sure about you but I have been told my running is a spectator event and quite comical. More up and down than forward.
ReplyDeleteARKANSAS PATTI, I know exactly what you mean. I've been told I look like a waddling duck when I run. Maybe we should take lessons together.
DeleteI remember feeling compelled to go out and twirl around in a severe rain with high winds as a kid. And I remember noticing me out there and screaming at the doorway for me to get inside.
ReplyDeleteOLGA HEBERT, it is like seeing a beautiful field of grass and wanting to roll around in it until you do and find out it's dirty and sticky and yucky.

ReplyDeleteyes, I actually have danced in the rain.. thanks for bringing back such a sweet memory..

SONNY G. somehow I knew this would be something you love and enjoyed :-)
DeleteNo never did but I am not dead yet LOL
ReplyDeleteCHANGES IN THE WIND, clever lady you are.Never Say Never.
Deleteyes i have - a warm enfolding rain that just felt good
ReplyDeleteBRITE MIST, how wonderful that you enjoyed the experience.
DeleteI'm not even sure if I've ever danced in the rain. I need to make a mental note to do that.
ReplyDeleteHEARTINHAND, perhaps it is something you need to do one day soon
DeleteNo movie? No video? No security camera shot? Not fair.
ReplyDeleteTABOR, nope it was in the Kansas days and there wasn't a camera yet but rons laughter will always stay with me. He enjoyed watching a lot.
DeleteOh yes, I have danced in the rain. Seems only fair when I have danced for rain. Magical stuff.
ReplyDeleteELEPHANTS CHILD, we danced for rain around here for about 2 years. I know what you talking about.
DeleteIt must have been cute ! I miss your posts about your chicks, hens and specially roosters.
ReplyDeleteMUNIR, I guess I'll have to be telling about my twin roosters one day soon. Glad to know you like to hear about them. I also have some good cat tales.
DeleteIt rains here 364 days a year (or so it seems) so I have danced in the rain.
ReplyDeleteDITCHINGTHEDOG, that sounds like a bit too much rain to be joyful about and dance in.
DeleteNot dancing, but a funny kind of shuffle in which I attempt to get to the car quickly without actually running, so water doesn't get into my shoes.
ReplyDeleteRIOT KITTY, lol. Fun to picture that since we've all done it.
DeleteOften. Dancing in the rain is one of the greatest feelings in life.
ReplyDeleteLEE, and yet we all run through it with our heads down as if it's going to burn us.
DeleteI still dance in the rain. It's good for the soul...
ReplyDeleteBRIGHID, you make it sound so nice but today will be freezing rain so I think I'll stay inside :-)
DeleteAnd dancing naked in the rain is even more blissful.
ReplyDeleteLEE, just so the surveillance camera is off.
DeleteI have done that, but as a little girl. Love the image of you with the chicks!
ReplyDeleteLYNN, as children we all splashed in puddles at least. It was like a dance that day with the chicks following me. A fun memory of Ron's laughter.
DeleteWhen I was a fool-hardy child, I freaked out my mother by running out in Lightening n Thunder storms n splashing through the street-gutter puddles in the summertime. They were afraid to come after me- now I understand of course.
ReplyDeleteI did the singing in the Rain song out there when stuck out in it a few times without the umbrella, actually.
Yep, we're getting snow showers in the Arctic Tundra out there today! Heading out for errands now. Bbbrrhhh!
The thing is, Annie...I don't run through the rain...and am always amazed when I see people doing so. They're probably get wetter by doing so! lol
ReplyDeleteI love the feeling of rain on me...and don't care about getting a little wet. There's usually cover not far away, anyway. :)
When I was a kid I used to dance in the rain. My mom didn't care as long as I wore rain gear.
ReplyDeleteAwwww... That's so cute! I'm sure the chicks loved it.
