OUTSIDERS MISERY

Cathy @ Stillwaters contacted me this morning to see if she was going crazy.  She was checking back on her comment to my last post OUTSIDERS and could not find it anywhere.  I checked and could not find it either.  Here is my response to her and anyone else who might think you were hallucinating about that post:

"Cathy, Yes there was a post titled OUTSIDERS and it appears it has been deleted.  The post was edited and it looks like it was deleted instead.  Every commenter had not had a response yet.  Thank you for bringing this to my attention and no you are not crazy.  I do remember that you had the same experience of being moved from spot to spot until, like me, you finally got a place of your own.  Don't know if you get the television show THE BIG BANG THEORY, but Sheldon has his own 'spot' on the couch and protects it with a vengeance.  Thanks for contacting me.  xo Granny Annie"

MOON-SET

February 14, 2014 we had the most gorgeous full Harvest moon.  My surveillance camera was not pointed in the right direction to capture this beauty but in the morning on the 15th the night vision did catch that moon saying goodbye.  The video at the end is the sounds of morning on NOL-NOC Estates.

STILL ALIVE AT 55

Last week our temperatures were in the 0's.  I was facing the bitter cold to feed my chickens and to try to stay warm in a small section of my home while the rest was sealed off to save on propane. My sister, visiting her daughter's family in Florida, sent me a text saying, "Could u Fed X some sunscreen? We're running out!"  Isn't she a funny one?

Well guess what...our temperatures have been climbing and wonder of wonders, they are supposed to actually reach 55 today!!!!!  I did not believe I would live to see it.  The snow and ice were bad but the cold temps were the worst part of it all.  I am so very sad for those in the northeast who are still facing the wrath of this winter's blast.

Then we have our Aussie friends who are battling extreme  heat and wildfires.  It is under nature's control  "one day at a time" no matter where on earth we live.

PARTNERS IN CRIME

Boomer is David's mother.  She gave birth to David and Goliath in the nest boxes.  David has always stayed on NOL-NOC Estates but Boomer left soon after her kittens were weaned  and only returns occasionally for breakfast.  She has her other kittens at the neighbors and when they are big enough, she will bring them once or twice to show them to me.  Those are the only times I will see them.  

I have never understood why Boomer visits but chooses not to live here.  Her daughter David is not very nice to her, but she does let her mother eat here.  I have always just assumed it was David who ran Boomer off.  That is  until I was viewing my surveillance video this week. Now I know the rest of the story and what gang really rules the roost around here.
