My precious Ron died on Monday afternoon at 3:30. It is still too new to talk about. I made sure he heard our wedding song every morning.
This was dedicated to us by friends as our perfect wedding song:
IN SPITE OF OURSELVES duet written by John Prine

This news broke my heart and I know exactly how you feel..
One consolation, Annie, is that you and Ron really were the BIG DOOR PRIZE...You had a great run together.
Take care and let your children and grandchildren help you get through this. It really does make a difference when you are surrounded by a loving family....

My dear friends and family, thank you for your support this week as I move through a difficult transition. Through this contact with the world I have found your words of comfort reaching out to me and helping me along. Your presence and your cyberspace touch has helped to lift me up. It is my hope to be in touch with you again soon but for now please know that my thanks is genuine and my love sincere. Ron's ashes will be placed near the ocean in a National cemetery wall with a marker and full military honors in San Diego next week.
