  1. You're back!

I don't know, but we do. :) When I had cats, I was worried they would touch the wet walls that had just been painted with their noses, but they didn't. They sniffed closely and didn't touch - so smart.

  2. 'cause sometimes folks leave up the sign even tho the paint has already dried...
    Plus, it's in reach!

  3. Snaggle tooth hit it on the head...it may have dried so need to check:)

  4. I wish I had a better answer, but the best I can come up with is...
    because we can.

  5. It takes way too long to count the stars and check and just a moment to touch the paint.

  6. :) My name is Marla and I'm a paint checker!

  7. Because the exact number of stars matters not but something we can reach out and touch is irresistable.

  8. It could be we can't believe the color you used to paint the wall and are hoping you've put the sign up early and are still going to paint it using a reasonable color.
We can touch it and say, "Oh good, it's still dry so that means she's going to use a better color now."
    Or something like that.

  9. Curiousity I guess. And the fact that we may want to sit on the bench or lean on the wall that is wet. And we just take for granted the billions of stars are always there but the wet may already be dried.

  11. Comprehension skills for the simple things are often the first to go.

  12. Because if the paint on the bench is still wet, I can't sit on it and start counting the stars. BTW I'm betting there are more than 4 billion stars. I'll let you know for sure when I'm done counting.

  13. Too hard and long to count the stars. Paint is reachable.

  14. Some of us are from the "Show-Me" State? (Not me. I'm from Texas, where paint dries almost before you can get the sign up.)

  15. Lynn -- I actually wasn't back yet. I just posted that in advance to it would pop up on Monday. Cats will avoid the wet paint but sadly, dogs cannot resist.

Snaggle Tooth -- A practical answer to an impractical question.

Changes in the wind -- But we all end up wearing a small dab on a fingertips when we are wrong.

Jeanie -- There you have it:)

Tabor -- Excellent. Another sign of how lazy we are.

Marla and Steve -- Of course you are Marla! LOL

Pat -- I can actually remember as a child trying to touch the stars. Have some glowing ones on my bedroom ceiling now so I can touch a few.

Cliff -- You were really reaching for something with that answer weren't you?

Bonnie -- That is right. We can easily absorb the number of stars but we can't trust the sign removers to pick up that warning after the paint is dry.

ashok -- You are so right.

G.B. Miller -- You are so funny.

cube -- With you great degree of detective work and creative imagination, I believe you are still counting.

Granny Guru -- Oh yea! Another "Granny"! Thanks for visiting me. I shall pay you a visit as well. You are right about the "reachable" part.

Susan Adcox -Perhaps I am confused because our borders touch Texas and Missouri:)

  16. That's so true. I wouldn't touch it though. I'd just stare at it... Ummm... maybe.
