UNIVERSITY FAREWELL by Granny Annie
Fred and his sister Darlene had a going away party for Lizzie. Their friend was older than the two of them and she was heading off to college. They presented her with a gold four leaf clover for her CHARM BRACELET. It had the university insignia on it. Lizzie was surprised and thought it was ADORABLE.
Filled with excitement the three headed to their favorite restaurant for Chinese FRIED CHICKEN and to have their fortunes told by Lu Sun the owner's wife. Lu knew they were coming. There was a TEACUP ready for each of them. Fred, Darlene and Lizzie picked up the cups, sipped the tea. The leaves fell to the bottom of the cup ready for Lu, dressed in a gown of beautiful ORIENT RED, to share the story of each young person's future.
Fred was thrilled to learn his future was bright. He would work to recycle PLASTIC and find many uses for this now wasted product. While saving the earth, he would share great wealth for his beautiful wife and four darling children. His fortune came true.
There was also a beautiful future for Darlene. Her brilliant mind would finally be opened from the locked CAGE it had stayed hidden in. She would spread her wings, bringing many new inventions to the world. Her fortune came true.
At last the recipient of this party, Lizzie, was told her fortune. It appeared her friends would achieve success different from Lizzie's. She would marry her high school sweetheart as soon as she graduated college. She would help Fred succeed as a Plastics recycler. Together they would raise their four children. Aunt Darlene would visit often and share her latest invention with the family. Her fortune came true as well. She was very happy she would share her life with her secret love.

This is sweet - and how lovely that they all lived happy and fulfilling lives.
ReplyDeleteI like their lives are entwined. But those are very specific futures. That Lu must be really good. Good use of the WFW prompts.
