FELINE FRIDAY AND FRIENDLY FILL-INS - 07-09-2021

Say hello to Sneaky Pete. This is a re-run of a post from 11 years ago.  The then 3 month old kitten was very afraid of me. After he was born here, his mother moved him across the road to the neighbors.  When his mother returned for visits, Sneaky Pete followed. Perhaps there is no memory of having been born here. I called this kitten Sneaky Pete because he would sneak behind something and keeps eyes on me constantly until I would leave the barn.

And now...

 FRIENDLY FILL-INS

Here are this weeks questions:
1. A memory I have of ____ is ______.
2. I always complain about _________.
3. I have a lot in common with _____.
4. Right now I’m ______, but I’d rather be _____.

A memory I have of Grandma  is abundant       love.
I always complain about having to go home.
I have a lot in common with her home decor.
Right now I'm selling her stuff, but I'd rather be passing it on to grandchildren.

  1. I like that name and it's most fitting. What an adorable kitty.

Love your fill-ins. It's hard to sell grandmas things. I know.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

  3. Sneaky Pete is a great cat name!
I am finding that the most difficult thing is realizing my kids do not want my Mom's things any more than they are going to want mine. I did find a new home for my Grandmother's kitchen table (its over 100 years old and still in great shape)

  5. He really earned his name. Glad he outgrew it.
Think Anne is right. I'll bet if you asked them they would just say "sell it."

  7. Sneaky Pete is so cute.
#2 I'm always complaining about having to go out. My ride-the-buses-mojo moved out when Covid came to town.

  8. Mind if i suggest that name at the shelter? Once in so often, we get a shy kitten and that would be a perfect name.

It is sad to say the grandchildren really do not want the old things. Ask the thrift stores how many sets of china they get.

  9. Love Sneaky Pete. Sounds like a cartoon character's name.

Shame young people like modern throwaway stuff. No wonder the earth is groaning with landfills and toxic air and waters.

I never liked modern furniture when I was young. My mother in law told me my Welsh dresser looked second hand (it wasn't) and asked why I hadn't bought teak furniture. I still have her dining table which is fantastic for sewing and four Victorian chairs!

  11. I think Sneaky Pete is so cute. I am sorry you have to sell all the furnture and things. I'd rather keep them too and find someone who would love them.
