WHY DENY?
Why must people deny these historical facts?
I believe historical Jesus is more beautiful and authentic.
You know, I was having similar thoughts this past Easter week. The common (around here) portrayal of Jesus on the left is as fictional as a White Santa Claus given the time and location of his life. And then the written part! I am not a Christian but I sure do admire the man on the right.
This reminds me of an episode of "Good Times" where Michael replaced the picture of Jesus (on the right), with a black Jesus and good things started happening in the household. Maybe the show actually had something there.
The historical Jesus certainly sits more comfortably with me.
