Anything that I can't get up here on the mountain, I purchase online. I do all my grocery shopping at our local supermarket...and visit the nearby newsagency while there. I never leave this area where I live. I have no desire to fight the battles with the madding crowds of Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
I purchase all my clothes, shoes etc., via online....and I just purchased a new, replacement remote control online a few minutes ago. :)
I prefer instore, so I can see things for myself, especially with shoes and clothes that might need trying on. But things like books and dvds I buy online these days and large items that I know I can't carry home on the bus, like giant ceramic pots for the garden or a new heater for the winter which I am currently awaiting of today.
I like shopping for the most part, and I would prefer to be in good stores. But--- We left the big cities behind many years ago. And now there are no good stores. I love to browse. But on line has become not just a necessity, but a way of life. Therefore--- today I prefer on line.
Crumbs I haven't been into a shop for over a year now. I've shopped online for food & it's been pretty good. I've probably spent a lot less as you tend to just buy what you need. I'm still not desperate to go out to the shops.
I have shopped online even before the pandemic, but now that I am vaccinated I am ready to get out and shop in person.

I do both though now most of my local store shopping is also done online with pick up. Love that service. Just go into a store for produce and meats.

ReplyDeleteAlso, a store if it's fruit and veggies or other food that spoils easily.
Online is fine for everything else.
