FELINE FRIDAY ON SATURDAY

This is an old story that once had a happy ending and now is a sad story.

Tale Of Two Tails

Kittens Pinky and Simon were adopted for our granddaughter Hope's 4th birthday.  Their family moved to Kansas when the cats were 8 years old. The cats were eventually allowed to go outside of their new home and  they both disappeared in four days. Simon returned with a limp and was taken to the vet for treatment. Simon would be fine.  The family kept watch for Pinky, to no avail.  They were all crushed especially Hope!

After two months they had all given up on seeing Pinky again as it has been so long.  On August 8th Hope ran downstairs yelling to come quick. "Pinky is back!" and there he was!  He was super skinny but other than that in good shape and even has his collar on still . The family was so happy to have him back :-)

We all wished Pinky could talk so he could tell us his adventures and how he finally found his way home?

Hope is now 19 and the elderly cats Pinky and Simon both died during this past year 2020.

  1. I'm glad they both came home. They tend to wander off if we let them outside. Just a precious post.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

    Have a fabulous weekend. ♥

  3. I am so glad that they came home - and lived long and happy lives with your family.
When I was growing up we had a cat who went missing for four years. We had long since given up on him when we opened the back door one morning and he marched in, stood where the fridge used to live when he was last with us, and yowled for breakfast.
Where ever he had been he had got the adventure out of his system and he stayed with us until he died (much mourned).

  4. So happy they came home and stayed there for many years. Sorry they have passed but they did manage a long life. Hope must be heartbroken.

  5. Awe, such is the life of our furry friends.
I am sure they gave a lot of pleasure when they were younger.
You have captured and made their life adventures so much more interested.

  7. I'm so glad your cats came home, they would have wonderful tales to tell if they could speak. I still wonder about my Angel.

  8. That is a great story about Hope's cat and also about maintaining hope!

  9. You have to watch outdoor cats, especially in a new place. What joy that they both came home and were with family who loved them at the end.

  10. A lovely story of hope and love. My heart goes out for the loss of Pinky and Simon...heartbreaking.

My two furry rascals are both 18 years old (brother and sister)...both are indoor cats.

    Take good care, Annie.
