DINNER HELP --NOT

My son texted me last night around supper time.  He needed my recipe for Cheesy Spaghetti.  Being the great mom that I am, I rushed to find it, not wanting to delay his meal.  Of course it was not in my file where expected.  I searched and searched and finally found it.  Instead of texting it back to him I called to read it to him. He responded cheerfully, "Oh, Beth found it. No problem."  I was glad they had it and said "Let me know how it turns out."  He responded, " We're not having it tonight.  I just needed it for the ingredients to put on our weekly grocery list." "Great" I said.

All of my recipes now:

  1. It's hard not to ask "how high?" when our sons ask us to jump -- even when they are not asking us to jump. Pretty much if I need a recipe these days I just look on line.

    1. It is my own secret recipe and it's not online.

  2. Quite a lot of my recipes look like yours. And others are tucked inside cook books. The food stains on them are a testament to how often they have been used.
Smiling at your rush to find the recipe for your boy - and hope they DO enjoy it when they finally get to it.

    1. It is a recipe I've given to my son a million times as well as to my grandchildren and I think they just make it up when they say they've lost it and ask me for it again.

  5. Hahahahahaha! Kids will always be "kids", no matter what age they are...and Mum/Mom will always be their Mum/Mom! Always there when they need them to be, no matter what the time! lol

    1. He just turned 50 and I still refer to him as my baby boy. It was his daughter that found the recipe.

  6. It was nice of you to look. Maybe next time, ask how soon he needs it. Of course, with life being the way it is, if you do ask, he'll tell you he's ready to start cooking as soon as you tell him how.

  7. You need to paste those into a book or a binder where the pages can be moved, an have them in alphabetical order according to type, eg, mains, desserts, soups and so on.
