If you got a permanent tattoo (or a temporary Henna tattoo) what would it be?
Or if you have a tattoo, what is it?

- I would never have any image or words that I would want on my
body. I like it the way it is with its freckles, moles, wrinkles etc
and no artwork! Yes, it was Downton Abbey that I was watching! It was a
great companion for ironing and folding clothes and working on emails.

- Sometimes when I am half ways kidding, I threaten to have DNR (do
not resuscitate) tattooed on my chest. Some of those forms we fill out
can get lost.

- Not for me. Age and experience have put enough permanent markers on my body already.

- A tattoo involves getting needles poked into one's body, right! That's not gonna happen for me.

- Back in the day, before they became "fashionable", I wanted
something small and very discreet that wouldn't be seen by the public,
however, I could never decide on something I'd be willing to live with
for my entire life. Briefly I entertained a tiny Star Trek science
insignia, but by that time tattoos had become so popular that I didn't
want one anymore. I only liked them when they were forbidden. For me,
setting trends is more fun that following them.

might it be? A Henna drawing or even a little cake icing drawing on
your hand, what might it be?

- I absolutely abhor tattoos. I think they a gross! Getting a
tattoo wouldn't even be the last thing on my mind...getting one would
never be an intention/thought of mine. I cringe when I see them.

- I have 7 tattoos. Six are small blue dots that mark the radiation
fields and one is how they reconstructed the nipple area after my
mastectomy. When I was young I wanted a small yellow daisy tattooed on
the outside of my right ankle. I never got it done, and now that
everyone has them it doesn't hold the same fascination that it once did.

- Honestly, none. Even though I used to draw and paint fake tats on
friends, I have no wish for one of my own. But they are fun to draw and
to see. Just don't want one for me.

- I don't have any, but have been thinking of name, birthdate and
blood group done bracelet style around a wrist or ankle, in case there
is an accident and I'm alive but unable to communicate because I'm
unconscious.
Three of my children have multiple tattoos and one grand daughter also has tattoos.

- I have a dragon circled around one breast. I got it over 20 years
ago. I had planned on getting more, two dragon eggs with baby dragons
half hatched out of them, with my boys names under.
Never did though. Still regret that.

A tattoo is one of those mid-life thingys that I want to get. The once I want to get would be the letter "J" with a tiny number 3 next to it (like an old math symbol) and the three birth years of my wife and children, since all their names start with the letter "J".

Probably one of those beautiful Mandala patterns.
ReplyDeleteA lot of women in Hawaii get permanent eyebrow or eyeliner tattoos. I would be tempted to do the eye liner tattoo, but I can't get over the idea of the needles next to my eyes.
