4:30 AM has been me-time most of my life. I learned to wake up before anyone else to have everything to myself. Time to meditate, time to write, time to do laundry, time to clean house....

Both, I get up at about 6.00am and go to bed at about midnight, unless I'm working and then I may not sleep at all.

In my younger days I was both and lived on about 4 hours a night. Now that I am older night owl has been slain by the early bird.

early bird. I love waking up feeling rested (early) before anyone else...is...up. Love the feeling of stealthily moving about...the...house, too. :) If I can catch any of the early morning rays of sunlight peeking in here...and there; that is an extra, added bonus. :)

I used to be a night owl but with age I have become an early bird. Funny how that works.

Very early. Well before first light/sparrow fart.
It gives me quiet time, me time, time to gather my energies for the day ahead.

I love early mornings when it's still dark. I quietly make some tea, light the fire, and sit in my big chair to read and watch light seep into the sky. I go in to bed and read for about an hour at night but I'm rarely awake past 10.

A mix of times - depending on places and seasons.
Try for an early bed but it's usually 11pm ( yes I know not late for some) - will lie abed late in the winter and rise early in summer. Of course when we're travelling it's all over the place

My schedule has been all over the place for about a year now. I used to go to sleep at 9.30 - 10pm and wake up at 4am. Now I fall asleep in the afternoons so I'm up most nights till 11pm or sometimes after midnight, then I'm waking up during the night, so when morning rolls around all I want to do is stay in bed.

When I was younger, I used to revel in staying up late - I guess I didn't need as much sleep then. No more night owl for me - I am often in bed in the 9pm hour and get up at 5am Monday - Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, I still wake up that early, but try to go back to sleep. If I can't I watch something crazy on TV (the craziest stuff seems to be on early.) :)

An automatic internal alarm clock that was created back in the mid 80's shorty after I met my wife has me waking up at 4a every morning. Every. Morning. The only way I can sleep late (like 6:30a) is to go to bed between midnight and 1.

Early to rise, and late to bed seems to be the standard for me. When the Cowman was working in the mill he got up at 3AM. I would get up with him to get a chance to talk before he left, as he was in bed asleep when I got off work at night. Now it's an old habit... besides I like the predawn time when the world around me is quiet and just starting to stir...
