For those who read my last post, here is an addendum. I wasn't sure I should give this information but decided to post it. The incident in my life was troubling but I was amazed by the comments from you guys on the experiences you had. Children are such prey and we sometimes never know.
On December 4, 2001, Lois Nadean Smith, age 61, was executed by lethal
injection in Oklahoma for an offense of murder committed when she was
41. (I think she stabbed her son-in-law to death.) She was the leader
of The Skulls that stopped us and wanted us to get in the car in 1957.
She was only the 8th woman executed in the United States and I think
only the 3rd in Oklahoma.
wow, just wow
ReplyDeleteI ditto what Brite Mist said!
ReplyDeleteTime passes and it seems evil does not change. What a stunning bit of news for you. I am sure it made you pause.
ReplyDeleteA leopard never changes its spots. Lois got what she deserved.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness - I got the shivers!
ReplyDeleteShivers... I still wonder what the guy did to set her so far off!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as if she continued down the path she was on so early. Sad, and bad. For her, and everyone who came in contact with her.
ReplyDeleteWow, she certainly didn't get any better with age. That was one evil woman and how fortunate you got away.
ReplyDeleteSo sad that there are people like that in the world.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! Such evil....
ReplyDeleteOh my - that makes that incident even more terrifying! I'm so thankful you got away safely. So sorry for the people that didn't.
ReplyDelete0_o Jeepers. Good thing you ran quickly!
ReplyDeleteWoah. Scary indeed. Scarier still that she spent 20 years on death row too.
