HAPPY MOMENTS

Question Of The Week January 5, 2015

Did you ever dance in the rain?

I wasn't dancing but I ran through the rain
to get my baby chicks to follow me to the safety
of their pen in a downpour.  It was a sight to behold.....
I was told:)

  1. Not sure about you but I have been told my running is a spectator event and quite comical. More up and down than forward.

    1. ARKANSAS PATTI, I know exactly what you mean. I've been told I look like a waddling duck when I run. Maybe we should take lessons together.

  2. I remember feeling compelled to go out and twirl around in a severe rain with high winds as a kid. And I remember noticing me out there and screaming at the doorway for me to get inside.

    1. OLGA HEBERT, it is like seeing a beautiful field of grass and wanting to roll around in it until you do and find out it's dirty and sticky and yucky.

I'm not even sure if I've ever danced in the rain. I need to make a mental note to do that.

It rains here 364 days a year (or so it seems) so I have danced in the rain.

    1. DITCHINGTHEDOG, that sounds like a bit too much rain to be joyful about and dance in.

  11. Not dancing, but a funny kind of shuffle in which I attempt to get to the car quickly without actually running, so water doesn't get into my shoes.

    1. LYNN, as children we all splashed in puddles at least. It was like a dance that day with the chicks following me. A fun memory of Ron's laughter.

  16. When I was a fool-hardy child, I freaked out my mother by running out in Lightening n Thunder storms n splashing through the street-gutter puddles in the summertime. They were afraid to come after me- now I understand of course.
I did the singing in the Rain song out there when stuck out in it a few times without the umbrella, actually.
Yep, we're getting snow showers in the Arctic Tundra out there today! Heading out for errands now. Bbbrrhhh!

  17. The thing is, Annie...I don't run through the rain...and am always amazed when I see people doing so. They're probably get wetter by doing so! lol

I love the feeling of rain on me...and don't care about getting a little wet. There's usually cover not far away, anyway. :)
