I have been more of a pessimist these days since my side lost the election and I think we are going to send a lot of good people back to a country they don't even know to join the criminals we sent ten years ago. I feel so depressed about all the wars and the lack of resources to go around...but long term, I am an optimist and this too shall pass.
I am usually pretty rosy, but this week I found out the furnace needs to be replaced and I just lost a filling from a front tooth. My mood is as grey as the sky today.
I'm a realist and most of the time that makes me Optomistic. I am in control of my own destiny to a great degree and even when I dont have total control I remember that life has ebbs and tides and if I remain stable through each- I WIN:)
I walk the tightrope on the line of both colors, tilting one side, then the other. Been so down this fall, but it's easier to be positive when helping others, I think. When I turn inward, negative grows, because I despair when there isin't a way to furfil my dream ambitions.
"Hope?" I'm like Gandalf - Somehow I never give up, "There's always a Fool's hope..."
A bit of both but I'm definitely more grey than pink.

I am an optimistic pessimist. I hope for the best while expecting the worst.
ReplyDeleteIt would be wonderful to say optimist, but it becomes more and more difficult to be an optimist. I wish it wasn't so.

Optimist. It is just easier being positive than negative. Negative is darn heavy and causes wrinkles.
ReplyDeleteI am both depending on the situation but the fact that I just come out of a very deep depression shows that maybe I am more optimistic than I realize.

Definitely optimist in spite of a few surrounding pessimists.
ReplyDeleteI can be one or the other depending on the circumstances, but find that the term realist describes me most accurately.
