THIS ABOUT COVERS IT

MY 50TH HIGH SCHOOL REUNION

42 people who haven't changed a bit so why didn't we recognize each other?
Believe it or not, this is our high school English teacher with me.  She is 92 years old and was amazing.  We were thrilled to have her there because she had been everyone's favorite.
Our DJ Ronnie Kaye a local celebrity from our era.  (I posted this for LL Cool Joe)
Our town theater has been restored and they welcomed us for a special showing of 1964 movie GOLDFINGER. Surprisingly no couples sat on the back row of the balcony to make out during the movie.  We really are old!
It was an overwhelming party filled with happiness, sadness, nostalgia, and fun.

    1. TABOR, how many students were in your graduating class? We had slightly over 100 in ours so that was a pretty good attendance.

I went to my 20th but skipped my 25th. It was crazy because nobody really did change all that much. There were people there that I went to kindergarten with and they still look the same. (OK, add some wrinkles and weight.)

Glad you had fun and got to see one of your teachers. That is so cool.

    1. LL COOL JOE, ,I thought you would like seeing our DJ. He was a an announcer on a favorite radio station in the 60s. Since we graduated in 64 the Beatles were just coming on the scene so we didn't have any Beatles songs. But I can tell you that they danced the twist a whole lot. Lol

  13. This is so sweet. I love it that Goldfinger was playing for you! I feel like watching it right now.

It is fabulous that your English teacher attended!

If my class ever has another reunion maybe I'll go to it. We were not a close group to begin with, and now...what a bunch of strangers.

    1. KERRY, seeing strangers there is the hardest part at first and then they slowly morph into the faces you remember.

  15. Love that class pic! Why is there always someone who looks so familiar that you can not recall a name for? Senior moments I guess! It's just that so much has happened since then, n the brain storage is crammed with newer things-
The only teacher from my Catholic Parochial school seen since school was at my Mom's funeral- a priest. Most of the nuns were ancient already when I was in school.
Good that so many attended yours, the teacher is amazing, n the movie sounds like a good time too...

    1. SNAGGLE TOOTH, no one could believe that I had never seen the movie Goldfinger. I did enjoy it but James Bond was never one of my favorites.we started out with lots of chatter and laughter in the theatre and soon we all went quiet and I knew it wasn't the movie capturing us. It was the memories I'm sure
