    1. BRIGHID, I definitely vote for small gathering. I am NOT a fan of large wild parties so I guess I'm not a party animal either.

    1. NANCY, forgive my failure to respond to your nice comments about the party. I have really gotten behind. We took up a collection for your ticket to Paris and I'm glad you had a good time and that you made it home safe and sound.LOL

  9. I'll bet you would think I love parties, but I don't really - I guess because I used to go to so many when I was younger. I do dinner parties at my place - I like that and that's the kind of party I like, small gatherings with friends or family.

    1. LYNN, I love having a few friends over for a plaiying chicken foot or card games. I absolutely hated work related parties!

  10. I have a pool so I must host parties. I'd rather have parties at my house now, but in my youth, we used to go all over the place for parties, but I wouldn't classify myself as a party animal even back then.

Now, I'm more of a homebody who likes having family and friends over to my place.

  12. Younger me was a party animal. Loved to attend preferable to being hostess. Tuesday use to be a good enough excuse. Still kind of enjoy them though don't get invited like I use to. My friends have reached the avoiding of parties stage thus limiting my options.

    Hello Annie
Just popped in to say a quick hello - loved parties in my younger days, not so comfortable now. Even if family are at our house you'll find me pottering in the kitchen or even in the garden away from the crowd.

  20. Great thought question, we all know the answer too.

When I was young, I was all thru the teen years. I got burnt out on booze before I was 21, n slowed way down.

Then occasionally thru child rearing years I went to bars n did music gigs.

Now I'm too pooped to pop except at the occasional wedding or family gatherings. That hasn't happened in years now! But At least I don't need to be wasted to have fun-

  24. I'm with most of your other readers: I go to small parties with friends and family. Nothing loud, nothing crazy. Once per year I'm required to show up at my work Christmas party, where there is a DJ and a lot of drinking, but I usually leave pretty early into the evening, after I've done my share of dancing with the gang.
