Question Of The Week 3-31-14

difference
between
innocence
and
 ignorance?

  1. I suspect that ignorance 'refuses' to learn.

  2. I think Elephant's Child is probably right.

  3. Well you come up with the darndest questions!

  4. I think that we feel ignorance is willed because it should change with experience. Innocence is that lack of experience.

  5. Innocence is a simple naivety about life, due to lack of experience. As in the innocence of a child. Ignorance is a choice we make to not to learn or change from the knowledge gained through life.

  6. Elephant's Child
    Whoa, what a great answer!

    Pat
    As you see, I agree.

    Aunt Betsy
Yes and I can't answer them myself:)

    Tabor
Excellent. If only we could stay innocent but alas, experience must come in order to grow so I guess ignorance must follow.

    LL Cool Joe
Oh yes! Ignorance is a choice. I don't think it is a conscious one but it definitely is a choice to stop learning.

  8. Excellent question.
Hard to top the other commenters -
Innocence is lack of knowledge while ignorance is a refusal to acknowledge?

  9. Innocence is pure....ignorance is somehow tainted.

    Knowledge is a good answer.

  18. I don't know. I'm innocently ignorant! I don't know the answer, of that I'm guilty!

  19. I could give you a prime example of innocence and ignorance, but this is your blog and it wouldn't be right for me to bloviate about it.

    But how 'bout this instead.

Ignorance is more prevalent among people with seriously higher education who believe that they're always right and you never are.

  20. I don't know, but someone's ignorance may appear dang smart to an innocence someone.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think ignorance is being in the position where you should know better, but you refuse. No?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Innocence is not knowing any better, and ignorance is knowing better, but choosing to ignore it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. When you're innocent you're not doing anything wrong.
When you're ignorant, you don't know what you're doing IS wrong!

    I think...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Innocence is when people genuinely don't know and ignorance is when people don't want to know?

  25. Arkansas Patti
And I agree with you to agree with them.

    Winifred
You wanna help me here? GRA? Or inonce? Or am I ignorant?

    Lee
    Good one Lee:)

    G.B. Miller
I only know that I love the word bloviate and would have to plead ignorance of ever accusing you of doing such a thing:)

    Brighid
And therein lies the rub. Those that prey on our innocent ones.

    Riot Kitty
    Yes.

    Lynn
But if the ignorant know better, then are they truly ignorant?

    Snaggle Tooth
    I think so too.

    Munir
Good statement and innocent people truly don't know but are ignorant people making a choice if they are ignorant? Did ignorant people simply reach a point where they decided to stop learning and determined that they know it all? Oh yes, that was what you said in the first place wasn't it:) “Ignorance is when people don't want to know.”

Whew! Who ask this question? Oops, I did...............

Innocence is a song by the band Harlequin and ignorance is pretty much anything that comes out of Ann Coulter's mouth.
Haha! I'm "in the middle of the night" funny.
