COMMON UNCOMMON EXPERIENCE

We took a drive around the lake yesterday.  So, what's the big deal?  After all we live on the lake.  The big deal is that Ron did the driving!!!!!!  Neither of us can remember how long it has been since he has been behind the wheel.  This left me free to take a few pictures with my cell phone camera.  It was a beautiful day and a beautiful driver:)

See Ron's shoulder:) See the lake?

Look beyond debris to beauty of lake.

  1. Oh, boy, I bet he was happy to be driving. Mr. kenju would love it too, but I doubt that will ever happen.
    Lovely, serene lake.

  4. Wow! What good news that you guys are now safe on the road again with a man driving. :)
Seriously, I am so happy for you two. Great pics by the way and yes it's a lovely area.
I'll bet there were times you prayed for this to happen again.

Looks like a fun drive. Glad you got to take some photos. Your lake is still low as is mine. I'm hoping to get more rain for that problem, but not the cold.~~Dee

  6. I'm so glad he has come so far in his healing. I can only imagine the joy you felt in doing such a "normal" activity.

  11. The lake area is lovely. You did a good job with the photography. I hope that you guys soaked in the Sun, the long awaited sun, at least back here in Orange County New York.
    Thanks for your kind words.

  12. kenju -- I am a comfortable driver but it worries Ron to pieces. Thankfully I am a comfortable passenger too and love for him to be behind the wheel. We wondered if he would be able to do it again so it is a delight.

Tabor -- We have to have a good sense of humor to get through all this. Laughter is the best medicine.

Talon -- We are supposed to have rain and cold again today but so far it is our third day of sunshine.

Cliff -- LOL. Ron agrees that the entire world is safer when I am NOT behind the wheel. You guys have to stick together don't you?

Dee Nash -- Yes the lake is very low and we're actually hoping for more rain. Know you are too.

Jeanie -- That infection had be hold of him much longer than we even dreamed. It is a miracle it didn't kill him, though it did try.

Rob and Monica -- And who knows, we might get back to yard sales and garage sales soon. We'll show our good purchases too:)

Lynn--Thanks for including me as one of the beautiful things. lol

Debbie -- Oh yes we do. It has always been our favorite thing to take evening drives around the countryside and this was a dream come true.

gigihawaii -- It is beautiful when things are very green and we haven't lost so many trees due to the drought.

Munir -- "Long awaited sun" is right. Hope we can get a lot of it in the following days. I believe it is as healing as some medicines.

  13. The lake looks great. But I'll bet it wasn't as great as seeing Ron's smile while being able to drive again. Good times, good times.
