MOUNTAIN OF TROUBLE

I made a mountain of trouble for my blog friend MOUNTAIN MAMA.  Please visit her if you can and let her know that her blog is working okay for comments.  It is a long story and has to do with unsolicited advice (from me) making matters worse.  Yet she has been kind and did not place blame.  And I have learned a valuable lesson...at least until next time:)

  4. Hey sweet lady, you didn't make trouble for me, I did it to myself! Thank you so much for letting me know I was getting spam. Unfortunately my blog knowledge is quite limited when it comes to messing with all the options. I thought I knew what I was doing but EEEK! I was pushing the wrong buttons. HAHA
I sure want to thank you for sending Sonny & Joey to visit and comment. Now I know I'm up and working once again and will be watching for spammers and be much more careful about getting rid of the jerks!
Again my sincere thanks. You are a treasure and a blessing. Hugs!

  6. it is sad that spam causes us so much trouble - i had to stop anonomous comments because my inbox was getting full of spam comments wanting to be published - they were not, but it bothered me greatly

  8. Hello Annie
I nipped over and said 'Hello' this morning, all was well then but it seems 'they' have struck again

Sadly it doesn't seem to matter which blog company you use the spammers find a way - I get them on w/press - luckily 'they' get put to one side for me to delete.

Oh and thank you for introducing us to a lovley blog

  10. Glad things worked out for Mountain Mama. There's so much I don't know about the blog that I appreciate any help and advice I can get. It doesn't hurt to try. I just read on someone's blog about reducing spam by setting my comment verification to anything older than 14 days. It's worked... so far.

  12. Happy Thanksgiving GA. I hope all is well with the 'mob.' I'm just assuming here that's the nickname for your family.

  13. Sonny -- Thanks a bunch. I think it's working for her again.

Cliff -- What were you guilty of? I guess I'm thankful for my failing memory.

Tabor -- I need to listen to wise people like you.

Mountain Mama -- Thanks for not blaming me. It looks like things are going well. So glad you are back in business.

Chatty Crone -- Always the best intentions.

Whitemist -- Sometimes they are not even anonymous and they just want to advertise on mty blog. I mark those as "spam" also.

Snaggle Tooth -- Oh it seems you aren't the only one that still have problems. Maybe she was in transition.

Cathy -- Oops, you're not alone. Yes Mountain Mama has an interesting blog for sure.

Riot Kitty --Oh you are so funny my friend...and so right! lol

Kay -- I hope Mountain Mama will see your suggestion because that is where here biggest problem seems to be...in posts over 14 days old. I did not know such an option existed. Thanks!

Lynn -- Happy Thanksgiving to you too:)

Cliff -- Happy Thanksgiving to the Morrow Mob as well....and yes:)
