JUST RIGHT

Now the couch is just right:)
Slim takes a while to settle for her nap(s).  Sometimes she will burrow under a pile of couch pillows and you can't even find her.  Most often she will remove all the pillows from both sofa and loveseat before she can relax and really spread out comfortably.  We have a couch and loveseat in our den as well and a small couch in our home office.  There have been times she has gone through the entire house trying each potential resting place and leaving all couches pillow free.  Thinking about changing her name to Goldilocks.

  1. That's so cute!

  2. She appears to be a one dog pillow fight.

  3. Lynn -- This is the dog we would never let in the house. That done, she would NEVER be allowed on the furniture.

Cliff -- Of course! We never thought of that.

  4. Our Bailey is like that. Scratching the blankets and "fluffing" the pillows until they are just right. Molly and Max, not so much. All they need is a blanket or pillow on the floor to lay on and they are happy.

  6. Oh my gosh that is just the cutes!!! A much loved dog in a much loved place to rest.

We just lost our love and furry daughter last Wednesday and I've cried and cried over her. I didn't even check the mail for a week because that was her "job" to go with me.

  7. Dodger does the same thing to beds including rearranging the bedspread and pillows before he settles down for a nap. It's funny that we don't mind a bit.

  10. Slim sure knows how to relax. That couch looks very comfy.

  11. That is too funny! I'm glad Slim was able to find the prefect place to relax. I'm on the sofa relaxing right now so I know how Slim feels.

  12. I always tease my pets with new nicknames when they are naughty. A cat I used to have was always insulted to be called "Fluffy."

Mischief has nervous habits that drive me crazy too. She always wants to plant on my leg so I can't move while I'm in the chair here, for instance.

Alot of folks don't allow pets on the furniture at all! Mischief gets away with what she wants most of the time.

  13. I love Slim! "This one is too hard, this one is too soft...all of them are on the floor!"

  14. Jake has a "bed" on the floor which he "makes" in a similar way, but since it is only one cusion, it is usually in one spot in the middle of the floor (for everyone to trip on)!

  15. Bonnie -- Slim was happy to have a familiar blanket when we took her to the kennel, but I bet she wondered where their couches were.

Seriously Though -- Ron and I went a lot of years without a dog in the house but Slim seemed like just the right one to bring in. Other than messing with the pillows, she's a very well behaved girl.

Marla and Steve -- I know you lost your beloved pet the same time my sis lost hers. It is such an emotional thing to think of when I realized I might have to face that with Slim one day...unless she has to adjust to losing me first.

Jeanie -- You are so right...it IS strange that we don't seem to mind a bit.

Kitty Moore -- Hi there! Glad to hear from you again. Have you been lurking?

    Shionge - - Comfy cozy:)

cube -- She is the queen of relaxation. Did you know dogs sleep about 20 hours a day?

Kay - - The sofa is pretty comfortable for me too.

Munir -- Yep, guess she is Gold.

Chatty Crone -- "Awe" back at cha!

Snaggle Tooth -- Ron and I both often call Slim "Slimbo-Jimbo". She too will sometimes rest on top of my feet to try and keep me still and like your Mischief, Slim gets away with a lot.

Riot Kitty -- I love Slim too! Yep, the pillows are "just right" on the floor.

  17. Ha ha, that's kinda funny. Clever dog!

  18. Whitemist -- We dare not stumble around in the dark or we're sure to trip over a pillow. Also she has a knotted rope chew toy that she usually hides behind the couch but sometimes she will drop it in front of our bedroom door and we will step on it in our bare feet. I'm sure I hear her giggle.

Sparkling Red -- She approves this new title and insists we call her Princess Slim from now on.

LL Cool Joe -- Oh don't get me started on just how clever she is. TBDITW (The Best Dog In The World)

  19. I have two dogs of my own and they both sleep a lot. Only our cats sleep longer than the dogs.
