HELLO, IS IT ME YOU'RE LOOKING FOR?

Hello.  You have reached the famous Medical Balancing Act of Ann and Ron.  We are either in a doctor's waiting room, in the lab for blood draw, x-ray or radiology or one of us is probably being admitted to a hospital for some sort of surgical procedure.  Leave a message and we will get back to you....assuming we survive all this:)

Meanwhile Slim is in charge.

(P.S.  I will try to find a couple of challenging Questions Of The Week to post automatically during my absence.)

  2. I wondered where you were. I hope all is better soon and I'm glad you've kept your sense of humor, my friend.

Today is the only day that we don't have back to back medical appointment all day running between here and Tulsa. I'm hoping to get to the grocery store and pharmacy. All weekend will be spent preparing for my surgery on Monday and the recovery following. Now we find Ron is going to have another surgery 11-19-12. Hoping to see light at the end of this tunnel.

  4. Great, funny post about the reality of medical needs. I hear you. Radiation 5 days a week is soooo wearing.

  6. Prayers for you and Ron through all this. Hut and I have only begun this type of journey recently and I hope I can keep my sense of humor as you have. And I have all the faith in the world that Slim will keep things under control for you.

  7. Marla and Steve -- We know about chemo and radiation and certainly pray this won't lead to all that again. Know how you feel.

Jeanie -- Ron and I decided yesterday that we don't have anything else to do so we might as well make all this as fun as we can.

Bonnie -- I'm pretty sure you and Hut both know that laughter is the best medicine. Thanks for your concern.

  16. Oh s++t. That is no fun and I do so hope late fall brings back less time spent in medical buildings and more wherever else you want to be! We all have these health challenge and even more as we age, but it does not make it easier to know that. Are you bringing drawing supplies and drawing in the waiting rooms?

  17. I have a landowner and his wife who told me that if it weren't for their Dr, they wouldn't have a social life. They said they've become excited about going to see him, otherwise they'd never get out of the house.

  18. Our doctor's office does not take calls during their lunch hour. The machine simply tells us to leave a message or go to ER if there is an emergency.

  19. Oy. That's no fun for you guys. :-( I wish you all the best with your respective surgeries and recuperation.
