  3. Bring them to my house. We have PLENTY!

  4. Bonnie -- I can picture it now...Seven goats in the bed of my Chevy Colorado, Slim and the cats in the back seat, and crates of Chickens and Guines fowl tied to the top of the cab with a sign "Florida or Bust"!

  5. None here. And keep those goats tethered, I have seen what they can eat in one day.

  6. Tabor -- That is why we have them:) Saves a lot of mowing.

  7. I've got some green around the house and garden but since I fear it's costing me about an extra $500 a month, I'll have to decline the offer.

  8. I have some houseplants. I bet your goats would like aloe vera.

  11. I am hoping for rain for you all. What a challenge this year has been weather-wise.

  12. Cliff -- It wouldn't cost us anything to water but it would run our well dry for other uses like watering the animals and humans. Our neighbors hauled water constantly to keep their garden going. If we were physically able at this time we would haul water too.

Sparkling Red -- Well if they ate Aloe Vera their insides would be healthy huh?

Lynn -- Well actually they are managing quite well on what is growing around here. We've got ten acres and they can still find lots to eat. They could choose to go into our wooded area and find some flora and fauna but for some reason they like to play in the blazing hot sun and frolic in the dirt.

Chatty Crone -- They are ALWAYS hungry even when there is an abundance. I wonder how they keep from wearing out their jaws because they are chewing 100% of the time. This morning I thought Elizabeth was cuddling me and she was actually trying to eat my clothes.

Kay -- Isn't your weather always perfect in Hawaii? Do you ever have droughts?

  13. I would love to see you and all your "pets" pull into my front yard. The neighbors would too. Lots of grass to eat here since we got rain for 2 weeks straight. My neighbors have chickens that run around so you might go back with a few extra.

  14. Dear Annie ~~ Thank you for the e mail about Bill Cosby. I just left my post on as it seemed to be a good story.
Glad you liked the "Smack him again " joke. We have had a long 10 days before the funeral of my b-i-l and it was yesterday, the funeral. I have felt this death so badly as we were always good friends. He even gave my elder daughter away when her father wouldn't even go to her wedding. I must get back to normal now.Thank you dear friend for your sympathy and the info. Take care, Love, Merle.

  15. Oh for heavens sake, open the gate and let them into the neighbors fields. ;-)

They love chewing their cud, don't they? :o

  16. Bonnie -- After I wrote you that response I got such a kick out of imagining what that overloaded pickup truck would look like and just what your neighbors would think if we did pull up in front of your house. LOL

Merle -- Can understand why you wouldn't want to make the correction. But now you know why people shouldn't believe half of what they read on the internet A good story is a good story.

Riot Kitty --They are aren't they.

Daniel LaFrance -- Well I don't think you have visited before. Thanks for stopping by. Be assured my goats don't need anyone to open a gate for them. They manage to get in and out of the neighbor's field all day. Only problem? Same drought affects the neighbors. They would have to travel a lot further than a few acres to have green grass.

Yep they do chew their cud 24/7.
