# 42 IS IT TUESDAY

This is post is number 42 in the marathon.

This is a post for my retired friends.  How do you keep; track of what day it is?

(Not knowing the day is bad enough but I also struggle with what month it is.  I lost March entirely and thought last Thursday was April 1st.)

  1. I'm not yet officially retired but the date has always been a challenge for me. I've often been signing a document for someone and ask, "What's the date?" Then my next statement is "Okay, it's the 16th, but lets start with the month and year."

  2. Annie,

My very favorite thing is the morning newspaper...

I go out first thing in the morning and pick my paper out of the puddle or snow bank where the guy has tossed it and I look at the day and date on the front page. That sets me straight for that day,at least.

  4. Cliff -- We even have calendars all over the house!

Nancyn -- That is exactly how my dad always knew the date. He got the paper first thing every morning, come rain or shine, and that got him started. I could do that but would only be able to recall the date for an hour or so,

Chatty Crone -- That used to help me but lately I've been skipping my journal. I must get back to it!
