# 41 LIVING WITHOUT

This is post is number 41 in the marathon.

If we had a serious shortage of commodities, what two non-food items would you most hope would still be available?

(If you have read my blog very often, you would know that toilet paper and gasoline are high on my priority list.)

  2. Lynn -- There was a time I would grab extra napkins anywhere we went so we would have emergency toilet paper. Yes, I was that poor. I will always consider toilet paper a luxury.

  3. I guess tp's as close as it comes to being a necessity.
Corn cobs are pretty rough and they're not in piles laying around the farmstead anymore.
Is electricity a commodity? If I didn't have it, it would take me years to quit flipping the switch when I entered the room.

  4. Cliff -- I thought you were probably used to a Sears And Roebucks catalog in the outhouse. The important thing about electricity is flipping the switch when you leave the room. I learned never to tell my son to "flip off the lights".

  5. I know that I could not live without water. I guess I could give up heat (yep) and telephones. sandie

  6. Chatty Crone -- We're good on the water part as long as the well doesn't run dry.

  7. Tylenol, eyedrops.

An old friend taught me how to cut up old clothes for TP when needed.
