IT IS NOT TOO LATE

 Left     Y      Right

Everyone had gone yesterday before I realized we had not pulled the wishbone.  Now even  you can get in on it.  Pick your side, right (with nail polish on tip) or left, and make your wish when you post your comment.

Sunday evening, 7:00 PM CST, Ron and I will pull the wishbone with your proxy and let you know the break. You may give us suggestions on how we should hold it to gain the best advantage on the pull. Pinky finger hold, thumb placement, fist grip, etc.

It is always the one with the larger portion of the wishbone that wins.

Everyone on the winning side will have your wish come true.*
Make you choice in the comments (and share your wish if you dare).  Many believe if you tell you wish it won't come true but I think that only applies to blowing out birthday candles.

*fine print: Participate at your own risk. We are not liable for unfulfilled wishes.

More information regarding the superstition of pulling the turkey wishbone.  It is a rare circumstance but some have been known to pull the wishbone evenly apart at the Y.  If that is the case, all wishes will come true.  It has also been known for persons to break both sides below the Y and the Y has dropped to the ground.  In this instance, none of the wishes will come true.

  1. I like that disclaimer in the fine print. :) I pick the right side and wish for the right opportunity to present itself. (I know that sounds vague, but not to me.) :)

  3. I'll pick the left as I don't like nail polish. :D My wish is that my cousins cancer is treatable. She was in surgery today, and I wish for her to have a full recovery.

  9. I pick the left. You can read something about my political persuasions into that choice if you dare. My hope is for all of my kids and grandkids to have a happy, healthy and prosperous year!

  10. Interesting proposition...
I have last Easter's wishbone still hanging up in the kitchen! No one else is here to pull with-

I wish the ecnomy would improve n provide me with a day job so I could quit the night job-
    Left! Allergic to nail polish...

    Happy pulling!

  11. What a fun idea. I choose the left side because I'm left handed.. We always use the pinky grip. As for my wish...a mild winter with not too much snow to shovel.

    See you all Sunday:)

I think I shall pick the "Y" for an even break. I've always been a middle of the roader.

I pick the right side, but really most of the time I am wrong and really want to be on the right side once in a while. I wishing my next 50 years are my best 50 years 'cause really some of them really sucked. Happy Thanksgiving Annie, mostly I'm wishing for happiness, but then does that really ever happen or will we know it when we have it?

  16. I'm thinking right too. I stared at the photo and right kept coming up at me.

I'm hoping my son gets to find a university of his choice for his graduate work. I'm hoping he and my daughter will be able to visit us in Hawaii this coming year. But before all that... I'm hoping my friend, Peggy licks her leukemia once and for all.

  17. I'm going left. I like nail polish on other people, but it's not for me.
I wish for my husband's health.
