What is your Karaoke standby?
Perhaps the first question should be "Do you do karaoke?".
Singing karaoke is not my thing but if it was, I would probably select
My goddaughter Jessi came up with this question of the week. She loves cats,so I thought this caterwauling picture would be appropriate. Riot Kitty will love it too:)
oooo Caught QOTW early!
ReplyDelete"Urgent" by Foriegner (Rock n roll with a bari-sax solo I know by heart n dance to-
Snaggle Tooth -- Shocked to see you here so early. You usually come dragging in about closing time. LOL Not surprised to learn that you do karaoke.
ReplyDeleteI can't sing! I wish I could but I can't. I can't dance either. ;D
ReplyDeleteI really try to avoid karaokes too, I just can't bare to hear a bunch of "pub singers" crucify classic songs.
Probably that Bob Marley song "Three Little Birds." :) My favorite song to sing with its lyrics "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be all right."
ReplyDeleteI've never sung karaoke though - hmmm.
LL Cool Joe -- With your involvement in the music scene I cannot believe you do not sign or dance. The beauty of karaoke is listening to all the "pub singers" butcher classic songs but once in a while you get to discover that really good voice that will pop up.
ReplyDeleteLynn -- Bob Marley songs charm us all. With you emphasis on "good things" it is easy to know why Three Little Birds is your favorite.
I ue to love going to listen to karaokes but then time past and so did the talent..
ReplyDeleteI dont sing myself but I admit those who do, even if it isnt great:)
thanks for visiting me..
xoxo
Sonny
Hubby and I do sing Karaoke and do many songs...it is fun but not as much fun as those cats are having.
ReplyDeletesonny -- As talented as you are at decorating, I'm betting you could sing well too. Isn't there a song about roosters you could sing? LOL
ReplyDeleteChanges in the wind -- Wow, so you guys are big on karaoke. That is wonderful. Surely there is one song you sing that is your favorite.
don't stop believing by journey and s.o.s. by abba are my two. I close with the former ;) and I love the cats!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJessi -- Oh I knew you would:) So are you working on your video of your singing for my Christmas?
ReplyDeleteAlright, if you think they were singing. I thought they were yawing -:P
ReplyDeleteI've never done Karaoke. I'm too chicken. This photo is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI don't do karaoke - my voice would chase everyone away - but if I did, I'd sing I Do, I Do, I Do by Abba
ReplyDeleteI can't carry a tune...I can't even sing "Happy Birthday" without people looking at me funny!
ReplyDeleteBut I'd LOVE to Elton John's "Benny and the Jets"! LOL
Monalisa -- Well you have to use a little imagination:) Plus why have a microphone just to yawn?
ReplyDeleteKay -- Would not do karaoke for your same reason. That is why I raise chickens because I'm so chicken. LOL
Pat MacKenzie -- Good choice. Who knows, someday you might just do it.
Carol -- If it is ever my responsibility to start a group singing Happy Birthday the key is always too low and someone else has to start us over. Oh yes, Benny and the Jets would be a great Karaoke song.
I would sound like those cats probably sound! sandie
ReplyDeleteMy singing voice has disappeared.
ReplyDeleteIf only we had had karaoke when I was younger. I would sing all Judy Garland's songs and Deanna Durbin's, Jeanette MacDonald's and selections from Tosca,Madame Butterfly and La Boheme. I did all this - relentlessly. I do miss it - probably more than my intimates:)
I can't carry a tune in a bucket and haven't karoaked in years. Hut and I used to go out with friends and after a couple or 12 beers the guys would get up and sing and then us girls would get up. The girls signature song was YMCA and yes we danced to it too, lol.
ReplyDeleteI've actually never done it.
ReplyDeleteI don't karaoke any more, following one memorable night singing "We Are Family" with my girlfriends. If I could sing, though, I would sing "Three Little Birds." It makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteWell butter my butt and call me a bisquit. I'd like to know what happens to my comments.
ReplyDeleteAnything by Cher. I can do a Cher impression that is even better than Cher herself. I can even do a semi-impressive Sonny.
ReplyDeleteI alternate between Cyndi Lauper's "Money Changes Everything" and Pat Benetar's "We Belong". I am an 80's girl.
