BUSY WORK

ABOVE IS MY NEW PURSE (?) THAT I CARRY DURING THE WEEK FOR RON'S APPOINTMENTS. IT CONTAINS HIS RECORDS AND INFORMATION AND MY PROJECTS FOR KILLING TIME ON OUR 3 HOUR DAILY DRIVE AND IN THE VARIOUS WAITING ROOMS.

HERE ARE THREE OF MY "BUSY WORK" PROJECTS. I CROCHET NYLON NET SCRUBBIES, OR DOODLE OR LISTEN TO AUDIO BOOK TAPES. SEE WHY MY PURSE HAS TO BE SO LARGE? I ALSO CARRY A COOLER WITH SNACKS AND LOTS OF DRINKS FOR OUR THREE HOUR TRIP EACH DAY. (NO, I DONT CROCHET OR DRAW WHEN I'M DRIVING!)

Here is a link to a delightful post. My daughter's best friend wrote this and I just love her writing. She is like one of my own kids and it is obvious how much she loves her kids. Here is the link to Little Miss "Not-So-Perfect".

  1. I like your activities bag - I have been there with the hospital / doctors office waiting rooms and have purchased untold numbers of crossword puzzle books to keep me occupied. You have a great variety there!

  2. If I had an activities bag it would just need a pillow. I can't stay awake long enough to do something useful. Good for you and best of luck to all.

  5. I have a bag for the meds... but no busy work. I people watch and remember to not touch anything in the waiting rooms. I keep my purse in my lap with both hands clutching it...LOL

  6. Lynn – Oh yes, I also have crossword puzzles in my bag for Ron in case.

Cliff – We carry a pillow too but we keep it in the van so far. Who knows, we might have to start taking it inside for some of these really long waits.

Robin -- Yep. “smart ladies” that’s us. LOL Thanks for taking a look at Little Miss “Not-So-Perfect”.

Changes in the wind -- Perhaps that’s the girl scout in me to be prepared. Or was that just the boy scout moto?

Ancient one – I carry Purel hand sanitizer plus most of the waiting rooms we are in have hand sanitizer dispensers. I can understand being concerned about germs but are you afraid your purse will be stolen? It has crossed my mind not to wear certain jewelry to keep from drawing attention to myself.

I'm glad you don't CROCHET OR DRAW WHEN you drive. I heard that can be hazardous to your health :-)

  8. Love the activities bag, very sensible. I think we could all do with one of those.

ps. I think I'm real. Well I was the last time I looked.

  9. I love that - being prepared is awesome and having things to do that make the time pass as pleasurably as possible is so important.

I love doodling - I always make sure I have notepad and pens (and a novel) in my purse for those unexpected times when I'm waiting.

  10. I've got one of those too. It's always good to be prepared. Being bored while waiting is awful. Thank goodness for my Kindle, it has lightened my load of books.

  11. Very smart organization there, with everything he needs, everything you need.

  12. I always bring something to read but not crafts. Maybe I should start that again...does this remind you of when you had kids and always had to have a bag with snacks, games, a change of kids clothes, wipe cloths??

  14. Thank you so much for the link to my blog! I am so flattered by your comment, you know I think your writing hangs the moon, so it's super special to me that you like mine. :-) So, I hope the goat has the kid when you're there, Ron's treatments go well and you have plenty to do, that you don't have a rooster massacre when you return and stay away from rusty nails! :-)
