HAVE YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE CHEATED THE GRIM REAPER AND HOW MANY TIMES?
Oops, thats two questions:)
One of Ron's oxygen tanks blew the regulator the other night and thankfully we heard the noise (even though both of us are deaf). Ron was able to shut the oxygen down quickly. The tank was next to our bedroom in the den where we have a gas wall heater with a pilot light burning. This near tragic event adds to a very long list of times both Ron and I have come within inches of meeting our Maker. I am pretty sure we both have cats beat with their measly nine lives:)

Whewwww glad you can tell about it.
ReplyDeleteGood Lord. I am sure glad there was a good outcome.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I'm glad your Maker was looking out for you!
ReplyDeleteMy smoke detector kept going off one night. I stayed up the first time for a couple of hours to make sure the place wasn't on fire somewhere, went back to sleep and it went off two more times. I finally took it down, popped the battery out and left it on the laundry hamper. Somehow - the battery slid back in and it went off yet again! This time I called the fire department.
It turned out that I had a natural gas leak and they said the odd thing was - the smoke detector I had wasn't set up to detect fumes like natural gas. I think it was my guardian angel.
Thank God you and Ron are okay! That's too scary, Annie!
ReplyDeleteI've cheated death twice, but I hate to think about it...I guess it just wasn't my time. (and now I'm hoping the Grim Reaper isn't thinking "third time's the charm!" :)
Yikes! Glad you were able to shut it down quickly!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that you and your husband are okay and here to tell the story.
ReplyDeleteI know there have been times I have thanked the Lord for saving me from a near miss and my family too.
Love, sandie
Wow. So glad you're both OK.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question...yes. Too long to explain in a blog comment, but I am grateful to the powers that be.
There must be a troop of Angels looking out after you folks!
ReplyDeleteAs a teen-ager I once fell about 30 feet while tree climbing (a tall Oak)-when a branch broke off under me- Magically I caught a low branch with both hands just before splat time. I credit angels with guiding my hands to a branch I didn't know was there...
I was praying on the way down!
Needless to say I stopped climbing to the treetops after that...
I am so glad you and Ron came through that okay. Very scary. I haven't cheated death yet, unless you count the numerous times my kids have given me near fatal heart attacks. But I guess that doesn't really count. And to Lynn, yes, you had guardian angels watching out for you with that smoke detector.
ReplyDeleteBlimey, that sounds like a very close call! I'm glad you are both ok!
ReplyDeletewow!! And there are people that don't believe in god...so what would they lay this down to...coincidence???
