TWENTY QUESTIONS MEME

I found this neat meme at southernlady64 LIVING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HILL. I decided to give it a go. If you would like to do this meme, just copy and paste, remove my answers and add your own.

1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing that you thought? — Will I ever be skinny again?

5. What famous person, dead or alive, would you want to have lunch with? – Steig Larsson the author of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO introducing characters Lisbeth Salandar and Mikal Blomvist to the trilogy published after his death in 2004. 9. What’s your dream vacation?—An uninterrupted week of reading, writing, markering, day-dreaming. My spouse, children, grandchildren would be waiting on me and not asking me for anything. (Okay, I’m too much of a control freak to allow myself that kind of vacation. I’m too convinced that everyone needs me)

10. What is the next trip you’ll take? — It will either be one of my husband’s ship reunions or a trip to San Diego to see our children there. .

14. Where is your best friend?— I have many and they are many places. My spouse is my best friend. My closest girl friend died in 1990 but her children carry on her smile and her kindness in my life as my God children and best friends. My children, grandchildren and siblings are all my best friends.

15. How is your best friend? —It all involves laughter and my list of best friends all give me that.

6. Who is the biggest gossiper you know? — Me:)

  1. Can I join you for lunch w/ Stieg Larsson? I'm fascinated by the controvery involving his death and I'd be curious to know why he had so many death threats. (You could ask him, not me!) ;)

I have not been to Red Lobster in ages...and I love their food! I'll have to look for one here in Miami and celebrate my not having to return to that horrendous job on Monday. Woo-hoo!

Great answers, my friend. I had no idea you lived in so many places. List 20! lol Seriously, I'd love to know where you've lived. I've lived in Cuba, NY and now FL. That's it...so far.

PS - Great job on Joey's art competition! Cute, colorful and creative.

  2. I love the wisdom you shared with your children, Annie! I thought I moved a lot with 27 - lol!

And your answer to number 7 was perfect! :) I hope Ron feels a hundred percent soon.

And I hope you take a video of the baby bucking! I love when goats gambol about - it's the cutest thing ever!

  3. I just bought his "tatoo" book after getting tired of hearing about it. NOw I have to read it. If I like it may see the movie on DVD in the future. I really like your last answer because only by questioning will we ever be sure about anything. (and, of course, I can no longer do memes or I will not be considered a good blogger ;-))

  4. Ily -- Those 27 moves are deceptive. All but two were within the state of Oklahoma and several moves were just from place to place within one city in Oklahoma. I lived in Waco, Tx for six months at one time, and I lived in Kansas for 7 years when Ron and I married and that town has a population of 67. Not as all exciting at 27 moves sounds. Thanks for your kind words on my doodle. I should have spent more time but what you see is what you get. I hope you are doing one.

Talon -- I could post and post and post videos and pictures every day of Tandy Kid. I'm as goofy as a new mother with this baby. Only Elizabeth does make it quite clear this is her son. If I can I'll post a video from time to time on my sidebar. I've never posted a video there before.

Tabor -- I'm not sure if you'll like the book THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO but so far everyone I know who has read it just loved it. If you have Netflix you can play it on your computer and there is only one element that the movie leaves out that was in the book. I wouldn't know how to judge a good blogger but I like reading your posts on both of your blogs and I see a lot of other people there too, so you should not just believe one self appointed judge.

  5. Regarding your comments: That blogger review site has about 4 or 5 reviewers. They all say they are published writers, but that doesn't, of course, make them valid reviewers of others writing. Anyway it is random assignment when submitting a blog.

Love the answers to the meme, I may steal it!!

  10. Fun list! Like your no.20- I actually taught my kids never to believe the answers.
You have such a great attitude, I bet your family is very proud of you!
Don't know if I'll do this yet- Hate summer due to heavy work orders- nio time for extras!
Glad your Tandy Kid is romping about!

  11. I need to read those Stieg Larrson books - I hearing so much about them from bloggers who have great taste.

  12. kenju -- Let me know if you do this meme because I would be interested in your answers.

Riot Kitty -- I shall be checking to see what you say in this meme. We will just find more in common:)

Snaggle Tooth -- I would ask my dad a question and he would give me articles to read, books to reference, different things for weeks that pertained to my question and I was to research my own answer. It drove me crazy that he would never tell me straight out what he thought. Now I'm glad I was taught to arrive at my own beliefs. As far as my family being proud of me, I'm pretty sure they all believe I am a kook:)

Lynn -- My brother and sister recommended Stieg Larsson and so I knew his work would be good. If they BOTH liked it, I would be guaranteed to like it as well.

  13. Good meme, Annie.... I have lived in Houston all of my life and I can't imagine living anywhere else... BUT I might be persuaded to live in the Texas hill country or up in the mountains of Colorado....lol

  14. Lucy -- It is beautiful here near the lake but this heat isn't making Oklahoma attractive to anyone.

I think the heat must be everywhere this year! I enjoyed reading your answers and learning more about you. Thanks for coming by.

  16. I had no idea Stieg Larsson was dead. It's too bad he didn't live to see his books become a huge success and movies being made. I haven't read them yet but plan to borrow them once my sister-in-law is finished with them. I tend to be a compulsive reader who cant' stop so I better start it and finish it on the weekend or it will interfere with my job.

  17. thesouthernlady64 -- Glad you stopped by. Several others have adopted this neat meme and I'm glad I saw it at your place. It's one of the better ones.

Kelly -- I well remember the days of trying to read books on weekends but even then had to contend with work brought home and family demands.
