TANDY KID THE BABY GOAT, BORN JULY 24, 2010 TO ELIZABETH.
My son Tandy Bill was here this weekend and discovered the new baby in the goat pen. He insisted we name the baby for him. Also my son is named for his great-great grandfather who was Tandy Kidd so Tandy Kid" is perfect:) We did not think the baby was due for another month. Glad the mama didn't have any trouble. What an exciting discovery.

He is sooooo cute. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteWill Tandy remain white or will he change into more colors?
Cuuuuuuuute! :) Animal babies are so much cuter than human ones, at least when we're first born. My little sister looked like a hothouse tomato.
ReplyDeleteHolland -- I am curious about that myself. We did not see who the father was when we brought the other goats home but most of the other goats were brown. I can't wait to get better pictures because Tandy has the cutest little pink face.
ReplyDeleteRiot Kitty -- Your poor sister. I have a feeling you treat her like my sister treats me. Oh yes, animal babies are very cute.
I stand corrected on my last comment. Ron reminded me that we did see the big Billy Goat that fathered this kid when we bought them and yes, he was white.
ReplyDeleteNew Kids are always a joy! The more the merrier! Great he's named after your son the discovereer- very cool n unusual passed down name there.
ReplyDeleteTandy's so small, n really cute too!
That a great name for that sweet baby.
ReplyDeleteSnaggle Tooth -- I believe this little critter is the best born on the place so far. Gosh he is a cutie, cutie patootie.
ReplyDeleteLynn -- Thanks. We thought it was a pretty cool name too.
An all-white goat...how adorable! I love the name you've chosen for him and I'm hoping you post more closeups of his face. I love that first pic!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable and I love the name!!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet...best part of having animals...babies.....
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new addition to the family!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute...
: )
Welcome to the world, Tandy Kid! What a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteIly -- Right now Tandy Kid's nose and lips are pink but they don't look it in the photograph. He is a honey bunny alright.
ReplyDeletekenju -- Thanks. It is a good family name. A great-great grandfather, my son, my grandson and now my goat:)
Changes -- You are so right about these cuddly babies born on the farm. They are the best part as long as they are strong and healthy.
Grammie -- Well almost as cute as new grand-babies right?
Talon -- I hope to get a little video of Tandy Kid today. Last night he was left alone to explore the pen and in the process he learned to romp and buck. It was delightful. He is indeed a sweetie.
Now that is cute! Wow, that's so exciting. My younger daughter would love Tandy!
ReplyDeleteMuch cuter than the leapin' lizards too. ;)
You're right. What a cutie patootie. Such a great surprise. And a great name too. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.
ReplyDeleteAw, so sweet a little kid:)Cute pictures.
ReplyDeleteLL Cool Joe -- We believe we have eliminated the lizards from our residence. And yes, they couldn't compete with our sweet kid.
ReplyDeleteBonnie -- It was a neat surprise indeed. Hopefully I can catch a quick video this evening as Tandy Kid is romping in the pen. He really is amazed with life and I wonder if we, as newborns, feel such happiness inside as this little goat expresses outwardly.
JeanMac -- Thanks. He is so cute and of course there will be more pictures to come.
Congrats on the new kid in the family! ;)
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable!!! Glad the Mama didn't have any trouble with the early birth, and all are doing well:)
ReplyDeleteOne of the men that I worked with on the fire department had miniature goats and I was dead set on getting one. They are so precious. But another co-worker advised me that they love nothing better than jumping on top of the roofs of cars, or standing on top of glass patio tables. Because our entire yard is fenced, I certainly hadn't thought of the possibilities....especially since I as "planning" on letting it in the house.....
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the birth of the new baby....So cute.
ReplyDeleteoh man. there is nothing cuter than a baby goat or sheep
ReplyDeleteunfortunately i know this first hand, since my dad bought me sheep instead of a horse.

Quilly -- Thanks. Yep, a new "kid" on the block.
ReplyDeleteLoving Annie -- All seems to have gone very well. Saturday the baby goat was one week old and getting cuter and cuter every day plus mama seems healthy as ever.
Dana -- Your little Beau looks like a cute, cuddly lamb or goat anyway and he can be inside without diapers.
Lucy -- Thanks for the congrats.
britteny -- Glad for you to stop in. I believe I would always prefer goats to horses. Did you ever get to feeling that way or did you pine for the horses?
