FIRST CHALLENGE

Grandson Michael was with us on this trip and these pictures are his work. Doubt many could get this close to a mountain goat.
They made the second climb up Mt. Evans but they cheated and took a car ride up.

We stayed at the Table Mountain Inn. It was a very nice hotel. Downtown Golden is great.

Travis takes Michael on their first climb up Table Mountain just a few hours after we arrived in Golden, Colorado.

I had altitude sickness upon arrival and it was finally subsiding by the time we left yesterday morning.

  4. Sorry about the altitude sickness. Did you think it was as beautiful as the photos? Photos never seem to do a beautiful place justice.

  6. Altitude sickness...no fun. I have never had it, but seen people with it. Drink lots of fluids and take aspirin for headache. (too late now, I know.)Your photos make me miss my Colorado homeland.

  9. These are really nice photo's. I've never seen a mountain goat that close up. From a distance they look white as snow, but I imagine close up they might be pretty dirty.
I don't blame them one bit for taking the car up the mountain. I'd have done the same.
It looks like a really fun trip.

  10. Altitude sickness doesn't sound very fun.

Michael's photography is terrific. I LOVE the goat photo! The shot is excellent!!

I hope you enjoyed your trip. The hotel looks really nice. I like the architecture.

We lived in CO for nearly two years early in our marriage. We were in Aurora, CO, just outside of Denver. CO is a gorgeous state!
