WE KNOW WHAT WORKS
Losing weight can be done through watching what we eat and exercise. That is what works. So, why am I signing up for weight control through acupuncture tomorrow? My first appointment is at 9:00. I have no will power so this is my newest desperate measure. I'll let you know how it goes.

OK, I am not trying to be a jerk, but a friend of mine asked me to ask my acupuncturist if they could do anything for weight loss...and my acupuncturist said, "No. I can treat stress if people are stress eaters, but anyone who promises weight loss through acupuncture - well, it's a scam."

Well, hey... one appointment couldn't hurt. Hmmm, well actually I guess technically it could hurt. Just don't flinch!

ReplyDeleteuse to be I thought Chiropractors were quacks, that is til I got "adjusted"----now I am a believer----acupuncture has been around for thousands of years, there must be something to it---hey if it works for ya, go for it---the proof is in the results.

Kay, it is a bummer that it's a non-insured procedure but she's not all that expensive. Cheaper than Jenny Craig anyway.

Cliff, it looks like you caught up on your reading on my blog. The "comb on your head" comment was very funny. If you haven't ordered you chicks, you better do so. We have been told they are very difficult to come by now. Ours and thriving well in their custom made nursery box. It has enabled me to be ready for chicks anytime!
Happily, I got my mom's good skinny genes, not those from my dad's side. Same thing about his craziness. But I like it that you want to believe it works. Believing is very powerful stuff. I'm believing for you, too!
ReplyDeleteWeight loss by acupuncture... why not? I'd say to use whatever means works for you. I'm bad when it comes to will power too, especially around period time. The first couple of days of my period, I am a ravenous beast. I have a hearty appetite, so limiting portion size is what's hard for me. When I want to try to lose weight, I keep Lean Cuisines (and other brands of frozen meals), Fat Free Yoplait, Diet Ocean Spray (only 40 calories for the whole bottle), and Turkey Pepperoni on hand. Those are the things that "sometimes" help me get past ravenous cravings... and I do mean sometimes... which means once in a blue moon.
