I AM JUST ASKING WOMEN

This is a question for women. Have you ever tried to show your intelligence and abilities in any way to a man who already has made up his mind that you are stupid? I mean men like Charlie Gibson.

I missed Gibson's interview with Sarah Palin yesterday so I managed to watch it online today. As I watched I recalled many men I worked with in my over 30 year career who acted like Charlie.

His attitude was condescending as he peered at Sarah Palin over the top of his glasses. She gave, what I thought, was a very clear answer to one of his questions and he asked her to repeat her answer saying, "I was lost in a blizzard of words". How totally rude!

Whether you like Governor Palin or not, you've got to admit that Mr. Gibson would not have treated a man so badly. If you've ever studied body language you know exactly what I'm saying.

Mrs. Palin, however, used open, confident body language and did not blink.

  1. it was fun to watch his growing frustration at not being able to rattle her.

  2. I only saw a piece of the interview this morning. I never really watched him before but kinda liked him none the less. After the snippet I saw I'm not much of a fan today. I was rather annoyed with Charlie.

  4. I saw some of it and I didn't like him one bit! I think she did a good job answering his questions. It's not her fault that he can't understand English!

  5. I thought he was a total A** towards Gov.Palin. She did an excellent job answering his questions...he was just upset that he could'nt trip her up!

And I do someone that treats women like that..my Son In Law...he treats me like I'm an idiot at times...it's very frusting to me.

  6. Sarah can take care of herself. I'm really tickled at the way the extreme left has 'categorized' her without having heard a word she had to say. I even saw one blogger call the New York Times a reputable news oranization.
Yeah...just like msnbc is a reputable news organization.
I love it when they get their blood pressure up.

  7. I finally saw the whole thing online. He ticked me off taking Palin's words out of context about the war and praying for God's will... I used to like him a lot more, but he took some cheap shots and lost some of my esteem.

  8. I don't mind Palin being grilled and asked tough questions AS LONG AS Obama & Biden are treated the same way... which they aren't.
Gibson would NEVER grill Obama about his Christian faith and ask him difficult questions about how his political beliefs conflict with Biblical teachings. Obama should be asked these things since he has publicly declared his faith in Christ. If Sarah gets grilled about things relating to her faith, then the other side should too.
There is a stark difference on how most media people treat McCain/Palin versus Obama/Biden and Americans are noticing it.
I can't WAIT until the debates!!!!

  9. Yes JD, the treatment of the candidates by the media and Hollywood is very different. You should see the interview on The View of Obama as opposed to their interview of McCain. Have those women no shame?

  10. I'm voting for the McPalin ticket, and I think McCain will win handily. I do not think this is going to be the nail biter that is predicted. I don't think we will be waiting until the next day wondering who will win.
McCain will surprise the media, and they will NOT know what to do with themselves. Some may even shed tears on national TV or even have nervous breakdowns.
    Good.
