WHEN IN DOUBT…..DON’T

Do you delete a lot of blog entries after you have posted them? I do. Probably there are some I did not delete, but should have.

Once in a while I will forget why I am a blogger. This is an extension of my journaling that I have done since I was ten. I write thing down so I can look back in a year and see what was happening then as compared to what is happening now.

My entry will be written and posted and then I will hear my father’s voice, saying: “When in doubt, don’t.” I will look at my post again and if I have doubts about what I have said it gets the big old D-E-L-E-T-E.

  1. Granny Annie, I don't delete many entries...hmmmm. I think I would like to hear more about why we blog because I think we each have different reasons and maybe even combinations of reasons.

  2. I don't delete very often. I will usually pull it out of public view but not delete it entirely. Usually because it has pictures of my kids.

  4. I've only deleted two published posts in my nearly three years of blogging.
There was one that offended my MIL. It was religious in nature, and she did not like something I said, so I just deleted it out of respect for her. It was funny, but she didn't get the humor of it.
The second one was about a friend of mine in CA. She started reading my blog, so I quickly went back, found the post about her, and deleted it before she had a chance to read any archives. It was about her odd propensity to breast-feed babies that were not her own. She would dry nurse her sister's baby which I thought was an odd thing to do. THEN, she once took my cousin's baby, who was fussy at the time, and she whipped out her tit and dry nursed him. My cousin nearly DIED!! I called the post Community Breast, but I did not want her to read it and be offended.
