CREATIVITY DOLLARS

Have you sold short story or article (fiction or non-fiction)?

Have you earned money publishing your poetry?

Do your write jokes, cartoons, or puzzles?

Have you sold art work?

Do you create and sell greeting cards?

Have you earned other creativity dollars not listed here?

Why all these questions? It seems many bloggers will allude to a book they are writing or an article they have published and my curiosity leads me to believe there are many of you who have so much talent you must be making or have made money from your writing or other creative outlets. Tell us about it.

  1. I have sold some art work. Most recently, a co-worker of Grover's, her neighbor was moving and she wanted to give them a going away present so she asked me to draw them a picture of the house that they would be leaving.

When I was a teenager, I used to help my mom make and sell crocheted/stuffed teddy bears.

But most of the results of my creativity are gathering dust somewhere in the house:)

  2. I write for two newspapers. One pays me a teeny bit and the other one nothing.
I think I should pay people to read my blog!

  3. I have always loved to write. Years ago when my kids were little, I decided that I was going to get something published. It didn't matter what or where; I just wanted to write something and have it published somewhere. I ended up writing two children's stories for two separate Sunday School companies. I got paid a little something for each, and got copies of the printed stories. After that, I'd accomplished what I set out to do, and I just went back to writing stuff for our church.
Blogging is a great outlet for me. I love writing, and I also love interacting with blog buddies. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know people that I would otherwise have never met. It's wonderful!

  4. Oh, my hubby and I created something that I think could make us rich someday.
It's called Moon on a Stick. I blogged about it a LONG time ago. Basically, it's buttocks on a stick. When you're driving and someone ticks you off, you just whip out your Moon on a Stick, press it against your window. and MOON those suckers!!!
We even made prototypes of these, and they are hilarious. They look like real bohunkuses!
